First, welcome. Second, sub crawl. How did you come up with its current placement? Any way you can post some pics of your room? Or at least give some room dimensions? Klipsch makes some great ATMOS speakers that actually sit on top of your current speakers. I'm sure NIsmo will add his thoughts - he has 4 of these speakers and thinks highly of them. I'd also say look into adding at least one more sub.

Any sub will work with any setup. I'd scan your local CL ads to find one in your price range. That said, I agree with Scrappy, you should save up for a $500 or more sub. Also, the best place for your sub is best determined by a sub crawl. Basically, place the sub in your MLP (main listening position) and play some bass tones, crawl around the room and see where it sounds best. That's where your sub goes. That's the simple answer.

No room for a table saw Steven? I recently bought a Bosch portable table saw, and it's matching stand. Luckily, it is almost the same height as the cut table I built for building my THT. I plan on retrofitting the cut table to fit the table saw, and getting straight edge clamps from JustClamps.com for longer cuts. However, if your set on the track saw I'd get the Festool. It was the best reviewed when I was researching track saws. Or, on just clamps there are clamps that basically turn any circular saw into a track saw of sorts.

Baltic Birch is not required. Any quality 4+ ply plywood with no thin veneer or voids may be used. Quality particleboard is another option, not OSB (oriented strand board). Lots of other driver options besides the Dayton too. Drivers with higher Fs work best in smaller width cabinets and lower Fs best in wider models, normally anything within 10% of the T/S parameters is fine. My bad, I should have said recommend not required. When I got the plans from Bill there were only two driver options, both DA. I'm sure others work, but I didn't want to risk it. It's a tough call. First DIY project is always filled with "eureka" moments - I had quite a few on my THT build. I would recommend the THT or THTLP. The THT will require 1/2 BB, so the ply will cost you a little more. But the 15" driver (DA RSS390HF) is a great driver; combined with the efficient THT it just won't distort. I've pushed it as hard as I feel comfortable with, and it just chugs along. I want to build two more, but, I'll probably just build one; thinking a 30" version for behind my seating area. I'm not sure if anymore than two is necessary right now, or ever lol. I can't recommend the THT enough, just so impressed with its incredible output.

Finally watched Kingsman - I've had since it released. Pretty good movie; not what I was expecting. Nothing outstanding audio wise, a decent mix overall.

Watched Furious 7 last night. Really good ride, lots of fun.

Furious 7 was a great ride. Mad Max blows it away audio wise....not to mention a kick *** movie. You must check it out.

I have a single THT and it fills my 4500 cuft basement with plenty of bass. Plan on building 2 more next spring. I'm good down to 15hz. So far I've pushed my THT pretty damn hard and I've never been able to push her into distortion. Watched MMFR today and had the sub trim at -1 through the receiver and volume at -14; sounded so good.

Did you watch it in 3D? Watched Mad Max earlier today and loved it. Sound was off the charts well done. Want to watch it in 3D.

How much room do you have? There are smaller horn subs, like a THT. Interested to see what you come up with. A horn isn't sealed though, that would totally negate the effectiveness of the path. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Your room is huge! To replicate that sensation you get when in a car with subs you're going to need more than 4, IMO. Would you consider building a different type of sub? A few horns would fill that room very well. Something like the Gjallarhorn? http://www.data-bass.com/data?page=system&id=45&mset=42 Two of these would provide substantial pressure for a room your size.

Watched Seventh Son the other night and The November Man last night. Neither were great, but I enjoyed them for what they are. Loved KA, KA2 was awful. You're right, would have been much better if they would have just focused on Hit-Girl

With all due respect, it is a benefit. After hearing the 212s only sound better and better the louder they got, it makes all the difference. They honestly sound clearer with more power. I hope scrappy jumps in and agrees, as he's heard the same 212s I'm talking about, and probably his new 215s.

I agree with Scrappy! I've listened to the 212s and they blew me away, just awesome sound. JTR is no joke, extremely high quality speakers and subs. If the 210 is in budget, try them, I doubt you'll regret it. As for the weight, just get some help getting them in the house and placed..you could also use those furniture sliding pads to help. Once they're in the right place you'll be good to go.

Watched The Breakfast Club with the wife last night.

funny how different people like movies. I was expecting terrible when I watched it. Me and the wife loved it. Not as good as first but dang closeYeah. I'll have to re-watch it I guess. But, I just remember thinking; "when will this end?" I really like Mark Walberg, but didn't like his role in this at all. Will give it another view when I get a free 3 hours. [emoji1]

That's putting it nicely. Didn't like AoE, all most liked it less that DoTM. It's a shame they let Bay direct these past RoTF.
