  1. Put Bob's Ti diaphragms in my Quartets and was, and still am impressed. Quartets are GREAT speakers, these made them a teensy bit better.
  2. I have Forte, Forte II, Heresy II, KG 4.5 and Quartets. I love the Quartets! (Disclaimer: I love all of my Klipsch speakers.) I agree with all you've stated in your post, and will never part with mine. I do have the Crites Diaphragm upgrades in them, and highly recommend you do this very easy upgrade. The crossovers will also be done soon. During my Forte II upgrade I used them as my mains, and had nothing to complain about. Smooth and with an excellent sound stage, they worked flawlessly. They now are part of my 7.1 system: Forte IIs mains Quartets mid-surrounds Forte I rear-surrounds I'm temporarily using an RB-61 for a center. Being built is a custom center consisting of Forte I mid and tweeter, Forte I crossover and an 8" woofer with perfectly matching Theil parameters to the original K-23, including SPL. It will be ported and fit in the center of my TV console.
  3. Speaking of going off the floor, here are some pics of my Forte IIs modified to bring the mid / tweeter drivers to ear height. They also have Crites diaphragms and crossovers, along with one NOS K-25 I picked up off of eBay. It was still in factory wrapping! The trim piece around the bottom is a homage "stripe" to the black concave line on the original risers. These are one piece cabinets, the extended section being fastened to the original cabinets permanently, and then veneered with walnut and finished with a clear stain.I have new speaker cloth in ivory that will be installed in the next couple of weeks. Greg
  4. With my RF-82 II fronts I use one RB-81. Timbre match is good, and its a great speaker.
  5. I have a pair of Forte speakers that I'm not using. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Just setup my first set of Fortes and need risers to complete the install (Very pleased with them!). Raw or in any finish is fine. Name your price. Greg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have the AVR-300 and the RF-82 II. It drives these speakers perfectly, and I am very pleased with the setup. I use it for both 2 channel music and 5.1 HT. Greg
