Listening Room is finished , those speakers driving me crazy ,again & again & again 😁 hard to beat if driven with the Dynaco PAS4 Tube Pre and the Cayin Mono Tubes. The Micro Seiki DQX 1000 TT is connected as well , last sunday a friend of mine was here and we listened to vinyl only. Used the Shelter 501 III MC , we had tears in our eyes and endlessly listening pleasure . The room acoustic is outstanding , the new apartment is a brand new experience. All other rooms are in work as well . The view through the windows is fantastique , I can see miles into the depth from the landscape ..WOW

Today I went grocery shopping across the border, in Leclerc Bailleul, France, which is only 30km from my home.

I treated myself to goat cheese, Camenbert, pain flute etc.

But hey, I also bought two vinyl records!

Jean Michel Jarre's 1979 Oxygene and The Scorpions' Tokyo Tapes, which I consider their best live album.

Oxygene is a great album and also in my collection 🤘

  3. Les Paul and Mary Ford version of Alabamy Bound

Les goes into some guitar acrobatics

    History of that song is

Alabamy Bound" is a Tin Pan Alley tune written in 1924, with music by Ray Henderson and words by Buddy DeSylva and Bud Green. It was popularized by Al Jolson and included in the musical Kid Boots, where it was sung by Eddie Cantor. Successful recordings of the song were released in 1925 by Paul Whiteman, Isham Jones and Fletcher Henderson, as well as Blossom Seeley, whose vocal version reached number 2 on the charts.

I recently got a VPN and often on a USA address link

That generates local US stuff that I don’t normally see

@Full Range  , Hey Paul ! My doughter is in Sidney till Sunday, than she departs to Canberra , she´s keen to see the symetric city design , and lot´s of cultural sightseeing. She´s fine and didn´t miss her home at all. That´s the way it should be if a 19teen year girl is doing a trip around the globe.

She will like Canberra as it’s a fully designed capital city

From buildings and roads to the picturesque views one would have from both - and a man made lake to finish it off

Only visited once myself while on a school excursion - and still remember it
