  1. If one wants to add any oil to a record to limit static - it should be lanolin And that should be diluted with alcohol and water Or Added (just a few drops) to a standard DIY record cleaning recipe
  2. One can do Sorbothane on the cheap as anything HiFi attracts a premium $$ Use Sorbothane shoe insoles ( the flat version ) and cut to size
  3. Feels kinda squishy I have 4 round pads under my preamp
  4. @dirtmudd @Dave1290 Sorbothane is what I recommend You can encase a raw egg in Sorbothane and won’t break after smashing it Neoprene ( As in the link ) is something totally different and works great under machinery
  5. I have tried putting together a similar system for streaming In the end a Bluesound Node won the day
  6. An early morning spinning session Great way to start the day A double live album from 4 masters of the trade All the best and favourite tracks are on this album Also an extended version of Southern Man is superb Artist - Crosby Stills Nash & Young Title - 4 Way Street
  7. A good design can be used for many purposes and this one is made to order for a TT stand So I offer my congrats You should post updates on the individual stages of the transformation
  8. I have just finished a compilation album as a precursor to playing 4 way street Most of the great and favourite tracks are on it - any more and it would have been a double album Artist - Crosby Stills Nash and Young Title - Celebration Copy
  9. I love it Looks like a butchers chopping block However I would remove the wheels and then place some Sorbothane under the legs and also under the TT
  10. An album first released in 1970 The last album from this band and probably the best When released the band had essentially disbanded Apparently- Future Blues’ May have been the first album to show ecological concern. The inside cover was of the band in a redwood forest and it called for the saving of the redwoods. The track “So Sad” would cover as well the ecological topic. A fantastic album with some memorable tracks Artist - Canned Heat Title - Future Blues
  11. I have the Canned Heat - Future Blues album Will spin it just for you 👌
  12. I know you want an EMT turntable And I approve 🤟

  18. The early AC / DC band had different members I can’t remember what lineup I saw Im pretty sure they played it on one of the gigs @JohnJ - Some homework - are you familiar with the Aussie band called Skyhooks They were also fantastic and were big here at the same time as AC/ DC
  19. Seen them live a couple of times in the mid 70s - before they got famous We ( a couple of mates and I ) traveled an hours drive to Sydney for the gig Did the same thing for the Alice Cooper open air concert but that’s another story
  20. Next up Recorded between the making of Are You Experienced and Axis Bold as Love This album is very funky psychedelic rock, that is very free flowing This album with Jimi Hendrix is with Curtis Knight Quote from something I read - When Hendrix signed up with Chas Chandler in the UK, Hendrix seemed to forget that he was already signed to Ed Chaplin in the US. After coming to the US to play at Monterey and subsequently tour with the Monkees, he hooked up with and agreed a jam session with Curtis Knight with whom he had been working with prior to the Experience. The session was supervised by Ed Chaplin. Hendrix agreed to these recordings as he felt some obligation to Knight and Chaplin, but he didn't want his name used on them and this is pretty much ephemeral psychedelia. Artist - Jimi Hendrix with Curtis Knight Title - The Wild One
  21. Something different from me, although heavy metal is not new to me A double album first released in 1991, but my LP is a 2014 reissue It is the first time I have heard this album The softer tracks like Nothing Else Matters are very well done and in a similar vein to Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin I read that it was not received well when it was first released by the fans because it was to commercial However as it the first time for me I find the album a finely tuned piece of work And I believe that this release is the beans selling album Artist - Metallica Title - Metallica
  22. Abraxas is probably my favourite Santana album In the collection I only have Abraxas and Caravanserai
