  1. Just bought these KG 4.2 from an estate sale for $75! Pristine condition! I planned on selling them until I hooked them up... Love the way they sound. I now just use these to listen to music and have my sub turned off.
  2. Should I buy new or maybe used? I was browsing craigslist and found a couple receivers and was wondering what you guys think of them? Marantz SR6006 7.1 $575, Denon AVR-X3000 7.1 $550 and a Onkyo TX-NR1007 9.2 $? emailed for price. I just added another set of towers to my HT. I now own all of the KSF series speakers. They're all Klipsh. KSF-10.5 front, KSF-C5 center, KSF-S5 surrounds, KSF-8.5 rear(were the SB-1 but bought new front towers). I have the SB-1 bookshelf as extra now... or should i maybe try and find a 9.1 receiver? Should I just pair the SB-1 with my surrounds and stay with a 7.1 or what...? No idea. I'm in no rush to buy a receiver. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
  3. Just picked up some more speakers! Pair of Klipsch KSF 10.5s! Now I have all of the KSF series speakers. KSF C5, pair S5, pair 8.5, pair 10.5, pair SB-1 and a polk sub. 9.1 setup to come..... I really need a dedicated theater room. $500 for everything, not bad considering original retail would of been over $3k
  4. It all started with browsing Craigslist and getting the KSF-8.5 towers for $50 for the pair! Then I just started piecing it all together. I'm probably going to upgrade the receiver next but that can wait.
  5. I just finished upgrading my HTIB speakers to all Klipsch and I'm loving them so far!!! It's nothing compared to what I've seen in this thread so far though..... I'm jealous!. I have Klipsch KSF 8.5 towers Front L/R, KSF C5 Center, KSF S5 Side Surrounds L/R, SB-1 Rear L/R and Polk PSW505 sub. Receiver is original To the HTIB I had, Onkyo HT-R550.
  6. I think all of the Klipsch KSF speakers I have are rated 75-100 watts rms. Does it matter if the receiver has more watts per channel?
  7. What about Pioneer? I noticed some of them are around $500 also one of their Elite is $500. I don't use the system much at the moment because of work. But now since I have all Klipsch speakers I just love sitting and listening to music. Sounds so good
  8. Probably $500 ish. Can't afford a lot right now. Oh sorry. I have a Polk PSW505 for the sub.
  9. I recently upgraded all my speakers in my home theater. I had the Onkyo HT-SR 800 HTIB for years. The speakers I currently have are all Klipsch. Front L/R: KSF 8.5, Center: KSF-C5, Surround L/R: KSF-S5, Rear L/R: SB-1. I'm still using the receiver that came with the HTIB, Onkyo HT-R550. I'd like to get a new receiver next but have no idea what to start looking at. I use it usually for TV/Movies and music, sometimes gaming. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! The attached picture shows the specs of the current receiver I have.
  10. I've been upgrading my HT speakers and so far I have Klipsch KSF 8.5 - $50, KSF-C5 & pair KSF-S5 $200, and Polk PSW505 $140. Doesn't seem bad for $390. I just need to get a set of Klipsch bookshelf speakers for my rears, 7.1 setup right now.
  11. Thought about it a bit and I couldn't justify spending the $$ at this point. I ended up buying the KSF-C5 center and KSF-S5 surrounds. Already have the KSF 8.5 towers. All together I've only spent $250 on it all. Plus I really like that all of this was made in USA compared to china. But I do have to say.... I just finished watching a movie and my god!..... The center channel really made it so much better. I really love how these Klipsch speakers sound. I could hear the I guess you'd say smallest detail of sound from a cricket to ricochets from the surround speakers. This beats any HTIB I've ever heard. I couldn't be any happier with them all. Thanks for the suggestions on the Ref package though.
  12. Yeah. I just have KSF 8.5. I was going to get a set of KSF S5 surrounds and a KSF C5 center
  13. I've found a package deal someone is selling near me and would like opinions on whether its worth it. I planned on just having the older KSF series as my HT. The package for sale is all Ref IV, pair of RF82, RC52 center, and pair of RS42 surrounds. What would be a good deal on the set and is it worth going for it all or stick with the older KSF line of speakers. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  14. I love the sound of my KSF 8.5 compared to all my other speakers right now. I'm replacing all the Onkyo speakers I have. I really like how the horns sound in the pair I have now. I figured I might as well just stay within the KSF line. Prices are good and they sound good.
