  1. Have a black KLF-C7 center channel speaker for sale. In very good condition: speakers perfect; I see no imperfection/flaw in the grille, and the cabinet is at least an 8.5/10. So, a superb addition to a mid-sized to larger HT venue. Remarkable specs (but Klipsch ophiles already know that): FREQUENCY RESPONSE: 75Hz-20kHz(+-)3dB SENSITIVITY: 99dB @ 1watt/1meter POWER HANDLING: 150 watts maximum continuous (600 watts peak) NOMINAL IMPEDANCE: 8 ohms TWEETER: K-90-KV 1" (2.54cm) Polymer diaphragm compression driver HIGH FREQUENCY HORN: 90(o)x60(o) Tractrix® Horn WOOFER: Two K-1062-KV 8" (20.32cm) Poly Carbon Graphite cones ENCLOSURE MATERIAL: Medium density fiberboard construction (MDF) ENCLOSURE TYPE: Sealed DIMENSIONS: 11" (27.94cm) x 27.19" (69cm) x 9.125" (23.18cm) WEIGHT: 38 lbs. (17.25kg) FINISHES: Light Oak, Medium Oak, Mahogany, Black Satin BUILT FROM: 1997 BUILT UNTIL: 2001 Below are photos of the front w/ grille, the woofers and horn w/out the grille, and a view of the top, showing its excellent condition. Price is $280.00. Willing to ship, if buyer pays the cost for doing so. Please PM with your interest. Thanks, and enjoy! Jim
  2. ^ Excellent and informative answer. Thanks!
  3. ^ Hi, Jbruno, A question, please: have noted in the product descriptions of the Harmony One that either Windows or Mac is necessary. As I do have a wireless LAN, but do not have a PC media center, what is the application of (in my case) Windows? Would I be able to control my various devices w/ the remote, or not? Thank you.
  4. Scrappy + Dave = excellent solution(s), IMO.
  5. Tom, Understand, as my wife (and I, too, I guess) have 4 cats. All front declawed. I have used a white vinegar/water mixture in a spray bottle to mist my grille covers (not cool, I know, but reasonably effective) to create negative interest in the grilles. I wonder if some of that wiped gently on the cabinet (?) surface might keep them away? Meanwhile, majoring on the major, you have fantastic and most enjoyable equipment, AND 2 cats still living, ha ha, who undoubtedly give you great pleasure, too.
  6. Ceptor, congratulations on the P38s. Am curious what Polks they replaced, and would you say the P38s sound 10%/25%/. . . /100% "better"? Thanks.
  7. ^ Thanks. Mine is not listed on eBay. Only on CL.
  8. Is a shameless plug OK? My own C7 for sale: https://stlouis.craigslist.org/ele/5345425744.html And my KLF-20s, too. P.S. Did sell my KV-4 center to a member here last year, for $280.
  9. From one Navy man to another, BZ on that last decision!
  10. Matt, Good thing you are A YOUNG MAN! Gosh, seems like a lot of work! Only motivation and discipline get that done.
  11. Hi, Boomer, Yes, I would be willing to do that (assuming that I know what I am talking about, ha ha). Not having done that, does it involve more than taking the item to FedEx for packing and shipping? What am I not asking/knowing that I should? Thanks. Jim
  12. Actually, the 2.2 will work fine (same specs and size as the 2.2V), too, though it is not video-shielded. But most HT setups no longer have the old CRTs that require that protection, and they do not often have competing electronics in such close proximity as to be a problem.
  13. Prayerful best wishes to you, Dave.
  14. Question/Answer: 1. Wouldn't a KG center (timbre-matched, of the same model) be the best match for a KG 4.2? 2. Specifically, would not a KG 2.2V (center channel, video shielded) be right? 3. Would not a KG 2.2 also work (same specs as the 2.2V, but not video shielded)? I do have the KG 2.2V and a matching pair of 2.2s, if you are interested. Glad to respond to any questions/comment.
  15. Makin' me kind of glad I sold my KLF-30s last week, and my 10s today. Now, only the 20s, C7 center, and maybe the KG 2.2s and 2.2V.
  16. Matt, I have a horn that was "thrown in" to a purchase I made a couple of years ago. It reads: "Klipsch Inc., K-96-K, 129056, Sep 25, 1997". Is about 6 1/2" x 6 1/2". ANY possible use to you?
  17. Jerry (Rockhound), you are a great guy, and I was very pleased to meet you and begin to know you. I look forward to crossing paths again!!!
  18. I know, Matt, as you are a man of Christian faith, that SOMETHING good and right will come of this. We simply do not know what or when, necessarily. It may be the actiions and growth of others here . . . .
  19. Isn't perfection the enemy of the good?
  20. Until last week, I had the KLF-30, 20, 10, and C7. Sold the 30s, and am going to sell the others. So, to your point about a "nice system", boy, you are right! Used the 30s up front, the 20s as surrounds, and the C7 center. Used the 10s in my office at home (in downstairs). As you all know, they really do sound wonderful. I have actually read (a few) comments that some people prefer the 20s to the 30s!
  21. Yes, had a recent run on some of my speakers (Klipsch and Infinity). Now need to sell the 20s and 10s, plus the C7. May be adding my KG 2.2s and the 2.2V (matching center). Sorry, Matt, got confused . . . . normally do not respond to other people's mail.
  22. Sure you do, Matt. Kinda like Mt. Everest--because it's there, siren song calling to you. . . . Congratulations, and am happy for you. Now, to get that VERY special tube amp delivered!!!
  23. Thanks, Arrow. Seems as good an explanation as any that is likely.
  24. You most certainly are. Glad to be educated/informed, etc. If your original comment were intended to be "humorous", or mildly sarcastic, not everyone is in on the "joke". The language didn't seem to "poking fun" at anything (pardon the pun), at least to me.
  25. Hmmmm . . . . Can anybody point Thad toward the punch bowl for a little "lubrication"? Maybe I am missing something, as a relative "newbie"?
