  1. I would recommend the Integra avr's myself. I got one a couple years ago and been running the hell out of it. 2 channel 5 channel both have held up. I also like how easy it is to setup next to other ones.
  2. I think you are using the auto set up on theater mode for the tone controls and then when you go to 2 channel music it sounds bad??right?? I found that with my Integra also so I used auto set up to get started then adjusted tone controls to sound right to music. The Integra is easy to adjust the tone and I find that other brands not so easy to adjust. My friend has a Yamaha avr and took forever to figure out how to do it. Then it was hard to do any tone controlling. Try adjusting tone in 2 channel to sound good my Integra keeps different settings for different modes such as Phono, aux, CD. If your rocking out to all channel stereo you may just be running out of power trying to run all those speakers.
  3. Rebuilt one..https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&id=5ACE532B3C7A81D6D8D9336FCC89AE554DF79AA4&thid=OIP.8DIWAFWBT2udieWsMIF1hQHaFj&mediaurl=https%3A%2F%2Fsteveneudaly.files.wordpress.com%2F2013%2F09%2Fnewcap.jpg&exph=1224&expw=1632&q=pic+of+heresy+crossover&selectedindex=17&qpvt=pic+of+heresy+crossover&ajaxhist=0&vt=0&eim=1,2,6
  4. Old one https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&id=5ACE532B3C7A81D6D8D9D6F26A6A3E67434FC4A8&thid=OIP.SNUA_4f3-uqtISisosbXaAHaFj&mediaurl=https%3A%2F%2Fsteveneudaly.files.wordpress.com%2F2013%2F09%2Foldcap.jpg&exph=1224&expw=1632&q=pic+of+heresy+crossover&selectedindex=11&qpvt=pic+of+heresy+crossover&ajaxhist=0&vt=0&eim=1,2,6
  5. Open it up and loosen and retighten all the connections probably just dirty connections. Easy to do. While you got back off it you could put a seal around the edge for the back panel. If your wanting to try soldering get some new caps. and replace those. Heresy is easy to work on and fix. Crites speakers has step by step pictures on how to replace caps.
  6. I think the new models sound better but are they worth extra cost??? I dont think they are myself. You could buy the original Heresy and a sub for far less money. Cory said he really likes the new cornwall 4. I think he selling a lot of Fortes and cornwalls. I heard the new Forte at Klipsch pilgrimage and really liked them ...did I like them enough to part with that much money NO. Wait for used ones to pop up I would say.
  7. https://kansascity.craigslist.org/ele/d/omaha-klipsch-klipschorns-omaha/7042361757.html Buy these then go buy a truck with the rest...lol
  8. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0758CSSDN/ref=twister_B076H7HV8B?_encoding=UTF8&th=1 Hard to beat this for toughness and looks. Not to mention its very good wire,
  9. Im on disability since 2011 transplant and have Medicare which is 135 a month and AARP supplement which is about 230. So Im paying about 400 a month but I get zero bills so that helps my brain wrap around the cost. My wife is still working and on ACA and I pay about 160 for crappy insurance through that but thats all we can get. I see trump care is out there but his is probably a joke just like his college was.
  10. Contact Cory Harrison before you buy speakers. He is on here and the Klipsch FB page. He is a registered dealer and also sells B stock at discount. He also has AVRs and power amps, sub woofers etc.

  12. I would look at the Integra....and make sure they have phono input if you plan to add turn table. I have set up a few other brands of AVRs for friends and none are as easy to set up as the Integra I have. That low of price wont get you a phono input I dont think.
  13. I would put furniture grippers on the bottom of the speakers if they are sitting on the hardwood floor. Shouldn't the seating face the front of the sound source??
  14. If you ever want to upgrade your speakers call Cory Harrison he is on here and on the Klipsch FB page. He also has AVRs power amps subs etc.
  15. This is pretty good wire also. https://www.glsaudio.com/Speaker-Wire_c_768.html
  16. https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/brand_category/integra/1.html I went with Integra 2 year warranty. I have been running the hell out of it and it is pretty easy to set up. Compared to friends who have bought other brands. I used auto set up at first but then tweaked it to sound better to me. Also look for a phono input if you want a turntable. https://smile.amazon.com/GLS-Audio-Locking-Generation-Connector/dp/B000O8AHLA/ref=sr_1_3?crid=NWJDNSD0OZ7A&keywords=gls+banana+plugs&qid=1575461345&sprefix=gls+ban%2Caps%2C1757&sr=8-3 would also look at these. https://smile.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Speaker-Wire-14-Gauge-Oxygen-Free/dp/B0758CSSF2/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2QJRJDEN0SPOA&keywords=amazon+speaker+wire&qid=1575461449&sprefix=amazon+speaker%2Caps%2C201&sr=8-4 This wire or wire from Monoprice or parts express..
  17. Lambs wool from 123 stitch site.....thats what you want others I looked at sucked or were to tight weave for sound to get through.
  18. After the Liver transplant I took a lot but now 8 years later only take 5 in morning and 1 at night at 61. In summer I cycle 25 -30 miles a day I have done 2000 miles every year since transplant. Probably one of the reasons I got the transplant so fast cause I was in good shape and hospitals want successes to put in their win column. In about 2012 I bought a rice cooker and started buying 40 pounds of Nishiki brown rice at the Chinese market. Now mostly 80 % vegetarian because all the stuff they feed animals is probably killing us. Not to mention very bad for the Earths health.
  19. That crossover you show in the pic appears to be Crites parts. He use to sell those can type crossovers I built my Crites 4500 HZ AAs with them years ago. Also those ones you got in pic are 50% original so dont be to upset.
  20. If you have not test drove a Tesla I would recommend you to try it. You will be amazed and probably want one....I know I did and do. I like the truck a lot but would rather have the Rivian suv. The tech in a Tesla is a lot better . Should watch this 2 part video...it is awesome. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=Tesla+model+3+jeep+couples+reaction+video&view=detail&mid=952AA09ED632C2B46D69952AA09ED632C2B46D69&FORM=VIRE
  21. If you have not done this yet I would loosen and re-tighten all connections on crossover. You can use just about any sealing foam...parts express shipping is crazy if you dont order a lot. I also got these for my K-horns when I rebuilt the crossovers. https://www.parts-express.com/erse-super-q-25mh-16-awg-500w-inductor-crossover-coil--266-908
  22. If you want lambs wool cloth https://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/itemdetail.pl?item=59-135X
  23. It calls for a 2.5 I have used this one. https://www.parts-express.com/erse-super-q-25mh-16-awg-500w-inductor-crossover-coil--266-908
  24. Sounds like good idea if you got CNC. Not sure where you would get good plans but some one here probably has some.
