  1. I used 1 1/2 inch on the four corners then i got 1 inch ones and put two towards the center about 2 inches apart.I think this has got to help keep that bottom board from vibrating.Whether it did or not, it dont now for sure,,,lol,,,and the sound is better for sure.....going to hook the HK up this weekend and watch some movies see how it sounds....listen close you might here them.......I got a Yamaha 1040 with 80 watts a channel and the HK seems like it beats it in the bottom end....both units are quite but the HK seems to do it with so little effort!!!!.Need to a-b test them it to tell more. But the little HK is one heck of a unit.....rick
  2. I hooked my sons HK430 up to my La Scalas and put volume knob at 9.30 and this little thing kicked some bass out you would not believe. My son walked in and could not believe the HK was doing that and had to go check it.Andy is right this HK and some grippers will put you in audio heaven, wished i had some k-horns now..lol....my son is lucky i dont have any room for his HK in my stereo shelf. The Scalas with grippers on them were shaking the walls and pictures but my wifes nick nacks on top of them did not move...made them sound much tighter,deeper...and the HK was coasting didnt even get warm...i wished you guys could hear this set up....rick
  3. yea i do have a link,,,,you link on down to wal-mart and buy them..lol....sorry just had to do that.....but try it they do make my Scalas tight, maybe the lack of base some say LaScalas have is not really a true statement,,,they might change thier mind if they heard mine,,,rick
  4. i got those grippers like Andy said,,,,and they do work,,,i put them on my Scalas and they sound much tighter,my cornwalls did sound tighter before but know the Scalas sound better and the cornwalls sound muddy. going to put grippers on cornwalls next,i got 1 1/2 inch grippers for the corners and 1 inch grippers for the center of the base.if you have Scalas you need to do this,,,but like Andy says ,it helps all.i got mine on hardwood floor so the grippers really hook up to the floor good....its a cheap thing to try , wished i would have done it years ago.....if the house is rock"n dont bother knock"n....cause i wont hear you.......rick
  5. yea call 864-839-6341....or wendellfabrics.com,,they sent me a nice sample book,,,they got the cane looking stuff to,,,,rick
  6. dont do it man,,,,,they may cost 8000.00 but only cost 2000.00 to make...in 20 years they will be trash...and then you will wish you had half of that 8000.00 to spend on new hi tech stuff,,,,,just ask the guys who bought 2000.00 dollar cd players in 1983...lol...i laugh every time i see a cd player hanging at check out at wal-mart..those are 100 times better than those cd players from 1983 and cost 50.00 bucks.those 1983 cd players skipped if you looked at them wrong now you can jog with them even drop them and they dont skip.just a little advice...i have seen my 401k get cut by 70% and i wish i had some of that money i spent so foolishly when i was 18...live and learn but dont say we didnt tell you so....rick
