  1. https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/ele/d/klipsch-forte-ii-speakers/6424515895.html somebody get these, I don't have the room, already have Forte 1.
  2. https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/ele/d/scott-299c-stereo-tube/6416749645.html if I didn't already have a 222c I would go take a look.
  3. pretty beat up, I would take a look at em, but no room.https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/ele/d/klipsch-la-scala-speakers/6351467337.html
  4. Thanks Moray, I will check them out when I get a chance.
  5. 1 more thing. ..1 of my pair of Heresy have a serial number of 8521290 and 8521291...I would think these are 1.5's. Is that right. ..I probably should open them up and see what the drivers have stamped.
  6. Bracurrie..I think you got it right with my situation, I listen to the Heresy near field, and the Forte in a 25x15 room, probably explains the situation
  7. I had the Forte IIs with the Crites upgrades and found that in a bigger room say larger than roughly 20 x 20 or so the Forte opened up and was exceptional. In a small room I found the Heresy to be more open and clear. Getting the Forte IIs off the wall the right amount helped a great deal so a small room just wasn't practical.
  8. Probably, I'm using the Forte in a 5.1 room and they work well there. I grew up on Heresy's and maybe I'm just partial to them. It's all good.
  9. Understood, never heard the Forte 2's, maybe the updated midrange would help. But it just seems my Forte's have a blanket over them compared to the Heresy.
  10. Oldtimer...funny you mentioned Forte. .I have a pair of Forte's that I used instead of the Heresy's. I prefer the Heresy, maybe it's just me. And the Forte has the Crites updated xover and midrange diaphragm.
  11. The 222c (and I would imagine most other Scott's from that era) has a center channel rca out that can be used to feed the sub amp (how convenient). and Craig, you did the refurb on my baby a few years ago, still sounding superb.
  12. A 2k system than a Scott 222C pushing a pair of Heresy with a SVS 25-31 sub with a Marantz CD player...unbelievable. the best value you could ever find. I still say the Heresy is the best speaker ever made at it's price point. .
  13. $2400, seems reasonable. http://buffalo.craigslist.org/eld/5160919655.html
  14. I have a pair of Fortes.. I purchased them for a great price. .. $300..but they didn't have the tags and the guy I bought them from didn't know if they were Oak or Walnut. ...how can I tell?
