  1. Have a 7.1 set up 2 - RF-7's, RC-7, RSW-15, and 4 - RS-3's. Looking to switch out 3's for 7's. Thank you, Brett
  2. I know this thread is complete. Just wanted to throw out there I have been looking for 4 RS-7's. I currently have 4 RS-3's with a set of RF-7's, RC-7 and RSW-15 in a 7.1 surround system. Kriton, if your RS-7 deal fell through, I'd be very interested. Thank you, Brett
  3. Better late than never follow up. Replaced driver works great. There is a harmonic hum at certain levels. It seems the enclosure vibrates when the correct frequency is touched. It is rare and at very high level so not really a issue. Moved the amp to the bottom of the cabinet too too make it more secure. This thing is a real beast. I love it! Brett
  4. Hello m00n. I'm obviously the new guy here. My post volume is a little funny but I'm dealing with a very similar issue so I thought I'd chime in for what it is worth. I have a thread started about my rsw-15. Turns out my active speaker has a open so it is shot. I'll probably be purchasing a new one from Klipsch. In my troubleshooting I learned the BASH amps are no longer available. However, there is a place in MI called Sybesma's Electronics that is authorized to repair these amps. I hear they have done many of them and the cost is about $250. Anyway, if you need to go down the amp replace/repair road, you might give them a call. Best of luck, Brett
  5. Update. Finally ohm checked the active speaker and it is open. Speaker shot. Replacement $375. Hmmmmm. Anybody got one? Oh yeah, found a second identical black wire not connected in cabinet. Assembler must of forgot what he was doing or took a break while connecting the power cord to the amp........... Thanks, Brett
  6. They've never worked on Klipsch subs. I'm still debating the next move, But thank you. Brett
  7. I'm in central WI. Can you give me more info? Brett
  8. It is a good solder job. I checked that. I thought it was weird that one was soldered too. Where do you guys suggest I take the sub to have a professional look at it? Thank you, Brett
  9. The active driver has a red spaded wire connected to it and a black wire soldered to it already. Both go to the amp...............
  10. Here is the wire. Neither side was connected. Brett
  11. By the way, thanks for the welcome and the response! Brett
  12. Ok, I'll take a photo of the wire as soon as I get home. I reassembled the sub for now but kept the wire out. The wire looks like Klipsch issue. However there doesn't seem to be any conections unattended on the control panel. (may have to check that again). Thank you. Brett
  13. Hello all. I am new to the Klipsch community but am a long time fan and owner of Klipsch speakers. I just acquired a RSW-15 sub. The sub is in great shape. However it will not play. The red light goes on as soon as you power up the unit. The fuse dose not blow. When I attach the input lead the indicator light goes to the green color to show there is a signal being received but there still is no sound. As I moved the unit around, I noticed a slight sound inside the case as if something was loose. I removed the control panel and then the active driver. Laying in the bottom of the case was a 18" small gauge black wire with spade connectors not attached to anything. Obviously this is a issue. However, after speaking to the original owner, he doesn't recall removing any wires. He had removed the active driver as well to check for power from the amp and found none. This leads me to believe the amp is shot but what if the wire was disconnected somewhere and he didn't see it? Anyway, I'm looking for suggestions and any kind of help I can get. Thank you to anyone who can throw a thought my way. Brett
