If you're buying new, I think you can buy 3 speakers at once. Try Cory at PHT.

I would think those would fetch a pretty good price. Rare and in what appears to be very good condition.

Have you tried a La Scala, Belle, or Cornwall between your Khorns?

You have spectacular speakers, don't skimp on the center, it's the most important speaker in an HT. Get a LaScala, Belle, or a Cornwall.

Are your openings trimmed out in 2x4s completely, all the way around? Maybe you can notch the 2x4s with a sawzall or jigsaw to accept the dog legs? Or cut the doglegs off and surface mount?

Congrats on detailed photos. The insides look wonderful. Satin black paint and lambswool grill cloth would look spectacular. How do they sound?

Yes I do like tubes. It just seems speakers are a bigger move, we usually move up the scale with speakers, where electronics are changed more often. Just moving a speaker an inch can change the sound. Speakers seem more personal to me. People will loan you an amp to try out.

A friend just had a whole new new system put in a 1600 sq ft ranch house. He had estimates from 10k -18k. Wayne was the highest. He went with one in the middle, around 12k. I know an electrician in SA, he said Wayne can only change out systems, they don't have any repair guys, only installers. He said he has seen numerous violations from the Wayne guys in regards to the electrical side of those installs. He said a few were extremely dangerous what the Wayne guys did, broken and botched together electrical connectors. Hope you have good luck with it all, at least it has cooled down!

Isn't it a wonderful feeling? Buying new electronics doesn't have the same effect as buying new speakers.

Me too....I will check this out for sure. I've been a TP fan for a long time, I've seen him 4 times in concert. He always put on a good show.

Two of those subs with a pair of La Scala AL5 would definitely sound superb.
