  1. When someone says they don't hear a worthwhile difference between what they have heard and some other much higher priced amp, it may not mean that they want to use a cheaper one. It may just mean they are happy with what they have.
  2. The parts look OEM in all the pictures in the C-List ad.
  3. Looking forward to reading about your listening impressions.
  4. We do have our personal favorites, and many of mine are large, but some beginners may have budget, space and roommate considerations. Any Klipsch speaker is a good start.
  5. Try turning the switch to other settings and then back into the bypass position to make sure it engages. If your low volume condition persists, then you may need to exchange your speakers. The two positive terminals are connected together and the same with the two negative terminals, for hooking up wires for a daisy chain of these speakers when operating a 70 Volt system.
  6. For testing purposes, can you connect the speakers with wires directly to the receiver.
  7. Beginners who visit the Klipsch forum for information are already exhibiting signs of higher intelligence, just by making that choice.
  8. There should be a switch on the back of your speaker cabinet. Use a small screwdriver to select the BYPASS (or 8 ohms) position. Let us know how it sounds.
  9. Yes you have a good point there. It actually is a lot of fun the try out different parts, speakers, electronics and various combinations of the components and settings. I also enjoy reading about all of the members experiences and opinions, and applying some of the good advice from the Klipsch forum.
  10. A beginner should try to start with the best speaker they might ever wish for, and save themselves all the trading up hassles.
  11. Those look good. Whichever brand you choose, make sure you get enough wire length, with an extra foot or two.
  12. I don't read Facebook news or watch TV news. I do go to a lot of live music events and also visit the great outdoors and National Parks. The world is a very beautiful place. I am glad that you are concerned with the state of affairs of our civilization and hope you can influence society in a positive way.
  13. No, but pictures of them look good. They also look expensive. If you like them and how they will enhance the appearance of your new stereo system, put them on your wish list.
  14. Someone can change our perception of the world we read about with a few keystrokes. That is power.
  15. Most speaker wire will be good for decades. If the insulation degrades and cracks, or if the insulation causes a chemical reaction with the wire, turning the copper wire green, then it should be replaced.
  16. I have Speakon connectors on some of my subwoofers. It would be nice if all my speaker wire connectors were Speakon, but almost all my Klipsch speakers have banana jacks and all my home audio receivers and power amplifiers have banana jacks. I use banana plugs for those connections.
  17. I have not heard one, but have been interested in it and the 760NEOBePB for a while.
  18. There were different batches of wire. Some were good, but many had the problem as described by Deang.
  19. I have used this Pioneer SC-LX901 with one of my systems for several months. It sounds good and the cabinet is very cool during operation. I did post this picture once before, but don't see that Class D thread on my display, so I am sharing it here. .
  20. Thanks. Now I am in the process of cleaning and organizing the rest of the garage.
  21. Did I miss the description of your present and/or future midrange and tweeter?
  22. Does anyone have an opinion about rotating 90 degrees the K-402 horn so that it sits on its narrower side?
