  1. I really want a head of iceberg lettuce. Wash each leaf with - Purell - soap - vodka, or?? Think I'll just drink the vodka, wash my hands and watch Benny Hill.
  2. 5% of people who are diagnosed with Covid require artificial respiration. Another 15% need to breathe in highly concentrated oxygen - Not sure how you 'highly' concentrate oxygen but I do know, from years of owning a fabricating shop, that it helps with hangovers.
  3. The Eagles -- "They wouldn't print it if it wasn't true"
  4. A Jack Reacher he's not. I've read the series and that movie made me love my books more than ever. 5 ft 7" compared to 6 ft 5". Ha. Obviously not a TC fan.

    Can’t sleep

Zopiclone 7.5 mg. At my age I don't really care if it's addictive or bad for me. Sleep like baby and wake up rested, alert and hungry. Now, where are my pooched eggs?

    Car Thread

    Oh, so looking for trouble.
  7. No ice cold Corona's at my thrift store.
  8. I love the very old cast iron I have, but I recently bought a used, well seasoned carbon steel Wok at a thrift store for $2.00. It is really as non stick as the video claims. Impressed and going to buy a one. Once properly seasoned, just wash with hot water.
  9. Wow. 10 nice pics of an area of 10 million faces and I only saw 1.
  10. Is that like my bank predicting they will make $50. M in the next quarter but only make $40. M, they can say they lost $10. M? Wish I could live like that.
  11. World's Richest Lose $117 Billion in One-Day Market Meltdown (Bloomberg.com) Not a current headline but I'd like to know where they lost it and how to find it. I understand losing a wife? or a screwdriver, but $$$$$$$$$?
  12. I have the opposite problem here in the cold part of NA. For about 4-5 months of the year I have to run a Humidifier. With out it my 900 sq. ft. apartment gets down to 30% (and less) in the cold months cause the heat is constantly on to some degree. I usually add about 1-2 gallons of water to it daily to keep my humidity at 40-45%. Anything more or less is uncomfortable.
  13. I lived on the 'Wet Coast' for many years and always had a dehumidifier. Like to keep it @ about 40% in the wintertime. Air conditioner will take care of humidity in warmer times. (No such a thing as 'to hot' or 'to dry' where you are.) Some info- https://houseweather.org/quietest-dehumidifier/ Grasshopper--
  14. The Boy Scout's motto is something that's common knowledge for us old farts, in the north. Even on the warmest day's, even in the Okanagan we would never go out on a boat without gear. Biggest 'ship' I was ever on was 'The Maid of the Mist' when I was 3 yrs old. Everyone was wearing those ugly yellow slickers and I lost my Mom and Dad. Scared me forever. Ha "Be Prepared"
  15. Back in late 60's-early 70's I was working for a company in the oil field industry (National Tank) in Calgary, Alberta. 'They' (oil companies from Tulsa to Texas), sent truckers to pick up oil field equipment in Calgary in winter, sometimes in the worst of weather. Quite a few times the drivers and their trucks showed up frozen! No antifreeze or heaters in their tractors, wearing shorts,T shirts, flip flops etc. Many begged a ride to the airport and abandoned their rigs. We laughed our asses off.
  16. Lots of ladies curling coming up. Up to 9 hrs. a day of TV coverage for 9 days. It's a big thing here. Yes - Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Hurry hard-Hurry hard. Yeah, the Mute button, a book and sometimes a beer is my favorite part. https://www.curling.ca/2020scotties/ Weather this morning
  17. Hey BSM. We've got time, well until 5:00 anyways.
  18. You may know, but much/most of your old ATF stays in the torque converter if you only drain the pan. Many aftermarket converters have a drain plug but not so much for original Chevy's and others, Fwiw. Enjoy. Bowtie fan.
  19. "There WILL be accidents, but each one will happen only ONCE and then be fixed in software to the point the odds of it happening again will be tiny." OK, but tell that to the Boeing 737 max victims.
  20. "with a safety driver in the vehicle to take over when needed"??? Real driver-safety driver, whats the diff? Someone still has to be paid and awake.
