  1. I'm not exactly sure when the 265 engine was completely dropped by Chevy, but it was probably at or just after the introduction of the 283 which first showed up in Chevys in 1955...which was the parent of many different Chevy engines...and still is....the 327, 350, and a few others...for decades, now! I beg to differ- I've never heard of a stock '55 Chevy with a 283. Not till '57, I think.
  2. If that's what it takes to fill that hole in your heart, I think it's a done deal. Hopefully it's the only hole in your heart.
  3. Maple syrup every time. Canadian, but not a 'gal'.
  4. Pierre Trudeau, Justin Trudeau's Dad, when asked how he could stay in power through all the twists and turns of Canadian politics said "It's simple. I have a French name, think like an Englishman and look like an Indian. We all feel very guilty about the Indians here in Canada." Here we go again.
  5. And then the old - "In serious condition with non life threatening injuries". Been and am there. Ouch! Thumbs up to the 'food, fun and beer'- getting old, didn't we forget something? Oh, under 'Fun'
  6. My great granddaughter is now over 2 yrs old. I shudder to think that I was (and am) partially responsible for what she and her generation will be facing.
  7. "I don't care about that, my mother's sisters were all dual citizens having been born in North Dakota. If they were still alive and running for office, I would vote for either of them" So would I.
  8. Homemade Hot Mustard At dinner the other night, we had home smoked ham and bratwurst-among lots of other seasonal foods- I was missing home made hot mustard. I used to make my own but it's been a long time. I remember--- Keen's dry mustard Honey and or brown sugar Vinegar I don't remember any other ingredients or ratios. Anybody?
  9. Do you mean the 'Dual citizenship' issue?
  10. Wet snow today and blizzard forecast for tomorrow. Argh.
  11. I've been telling my wife for many years, "A man can never have to many clamps."
  12. Along with the chicken's neck (which my Dad and I fought over) we also chewed and sucked on the feet. That was a very long time ago. Sound's yucky now but food was short and it tasted good. Nine in the family-nothing was wasted.
  13. Seems I always had a problem with: "ability to work as a team member, being precise while following policies and procedures". Sheeple talk.
  14. In today's news https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/tim-hortons-beyond-meat-plant-diet-vegan-vegetarian-1.5288349 Beyond meat = beyond me.
  15. My next wife. Wait for the announcement. Also beer induced.
  16. The Klipsch WA-2 wireless Sub adapter works works great. My sub is about 20+ ft away from receiver. Saves a bit of laying/routing cable.
  17. I have fired a few bosses in my life though. Ya Ya. I've always said "I've punched more bosses than time clocks".
  18. It all looks so good but the "stuffed longshots" grab me. Do stuffed bell peppers all the time but could spice that up. What kind of peppers are these - hard to get a big variety of peppers here in 'the great white north'. Sausage or gr. beef? (Google was no help)
  19. Works fine with my SW-110, including power on/off.
  20. Today's prices on Molsons Canadian in Canada. There are no 'Sales'. Beer is very rarely less than $2. buck a can or bottle. +tax. Wondering what you pay.
  21. Acetylene and oxygen balloons, BIG Glad bags, 50 gal drums, etc. Ignition by broken mini xmas light bulbs and 9-12 V batteries. My kids loved that once a year. (out in a big field). Try about a 100 balloons tied to a fence line and set the first one off, or hanging off a kite string. Use your imagination. (careful with the 50 gal drums.) Too much fun.
