On October 3, 2021, we celebrate not only the Day of German Unity but also the Harvest Festival. Thanksgiving Sunday is one of the oldest religious festivals, which is associated with some customs, similar to your " Thanksgiving".

    You forgot to mention Oktoberfest.

They’re a Superior breed, if you ask them.  Before they surrender to cheeseheads, they’d revolt to become the state of Superior.  Just ask Tom Izzo. Yoopers can be revolting.

I've read all of Steve Hamilton's books.  First class.

  3. I recently did just that. I hated the big, multi-tiered, dust collector of a TV stand and trying to clean the speaker stands and the floor underneath.

So I went to Home Depot and got 8 -1/2 inch floor flanges, (4 for the speaker wall mounts, 4 for the glass shelf, 2- 8 in by 1/2 in nipples, and 2-1/2 in

street elbows and a couple of pcs. of 5/8 maple (about 6 by 7). For the shelf I mounted 4 of the flanges on the wall and cut 2-36 in by 1/2 in nipples

(there's that word again, giggle) to length. About 14 in for my use. The reason I needed 4 was because I was to cheap to buy a 4 ft by 14 in piece of

tempered glass and I found a pkg of 2- 14 in by 24 in tempered glass shelves @ Ikea for $15.00. Cleaned and painted all the parts. Even found little

chrome plugs that fit the front showing ends of the nipples.😆.  Put the little self stick baby buggy bumpers all over. Easily strong enough for my RB 61ii's.

Total cost including the TV wall mount about a hundred bucks.

Oh- #10 screws for those flanges.

If they get mean I will find a recipe, never tried it but might ?

The best time to cook one up is when they first arrive back in the springtime where they have been eating corn in Mexico all winter. They use the trade winds and don't work hard enough to toughen them up on the way back north. They are no good to eat after they have been here all summer digging and eating mud. I'm old, but a few hunters, trappers and fishermen showed me this when they were old, a long time ago.

Mine got here 2 days ago. This is what it looks like today.

Very light coats of avocado oil. 4 times for 1 hour @ 500.

Let it cool completly in the oven. Haven't used it yet but it looks and feels good.

    No smoke with avocado oil.

I ordered the same one. Should be here in a couple of days.

I read somewhere that these are 16Gauge as opposed to most at 18G.

I paid a lot more than $12.00 for it.

How'd you do that? No not the meal with that decidedly green herb and lemon mix that Mediterraneans do all to well with meats.

How the heck did you quote me from the 4cs over to here?

Saw the butterpat kickstarter thing from the android phone feed but they're too $$. Great idea though, I'm only at this address 8 more days. Been tired of my Lodge's rough surface for frying eggs, also my Cuisinart French Classis Tri-ply. I'd lose part of my eggs in either pan. even with a little grease from the meat left in them. Not my new small carbon steel one though... It's nice for all that I've made even with cheddar in the eggs. Now answering the phone made me leave the dogs too long in one spot but I think it will even out before too long.

Avocado oil takes some heat before it will smoke!

I like the look and the size. What brand is that one?
