  1. Any specs on the beast? Is it Powered? Did you hear it? $$$$$$$? SPL? It does look great, along with the other reference speaks in WOOD GRAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. What is this all about. Is that a monsterous Reference 15 I seen there? check it out. http://gallery.consumerreview.com/audio/gallery/files/dscn0099.asp
  3. Whats up with these epic speakers. Were they just thrown to the side? I never hear of anybody owning them. And the only pictures or mention of them are in the Promotional ads. Anyone know anything about them. Size, Sen. rating, power handling, etc. They look like great speakers. Are they worth gettin if I could get my hands on them?
  4. Ok I need some help here. What would be considered a better system. Music %50 and HT %50. Systems are as follows: Front: KLF 10 Rear: Hersey II Center: KLF-C7 Sub: KSW 15 Front: Hersey II Rear: SP-1 (on stands) Center: KLF-C7 Sub: KSW 15 Front: Hersey II Rear: SP-1 (on stands) Center: Hersey II Sub: KSW 15 The SP-1's in the rear are only using the 5.25 and tweet as rears. The sub is Daisy chained with the KSW-15 for added LFE, and no overkill in the rear. The more bass on hand the better. In my mind you can always turn down the gains on the low end if you want but it's nice to have in you back pocket. And the power being supplied to the 5 channels will be no more than 100W. With that could I get all of the KLF-10's value with only 100W of fuse? My buddies and I are in a pretty heated discussion over this. Any input would help the arguement. Thanks.
  5. boa 12 I was simply loving your setup until I came across the name SONY... What are you thinking. Sony, although a great reciever for the lame person, not in the same league as Klipsch. And really doesn't belong in the fine hands of a Klipsch owner like yourself. I suggest maybe a Denon or Onkyo, even an H/K.
  6. I have two H II's in front and video shielding is a little problem. If I get one more Hersey... put it top of my TV????? That won't work. Can you get them video shieled???? If I can't do that how about the C7...is it a pretty good match with the horns? help!!!
  7. I agree 3 more Heresies would be great! But I cannot find them anywhere. Plus the are not video shielded, so that would really work out for me as a center channel. Yesterday I went looking at some options. I really like the KLF-C7 as a center. And I also had the same idea of using the KLF-20 or 30's as fronts and the heritage in the rear. But money really got to be an option there. I was getting NO deals on the legend series. They want 500 for the center and 2000 for the 30 and 1600 for the 20's. My space is you average bedroom. But nothing is in it. It is going to be a theater. And as far as the built in sub in the rear, the sub would be hooked up to my LFE out from my KSW-15, (daisy chained if you will). SO it would be just like having two more subs firing with my 15. And the tweet and midrange would act as a rear like a bookshelf. I heard both the RP-3 and the SP-1 yesterday, I must say I liked the Synergy better. Much brighter, although the Reference had a bigger stage due to the bigger horn. But overall I thought the SP-1 was more "real" in it's playback. RP-3 seemed a little too warm, even though we were demo it on a HDCD on a H/K reciever. Speaking of H/K.... WOW very impressed with the new line. The one I tested was only 70W per channel, but at 25 amps. They don't call them Wattifiers they call them amplifiers. So now I'm thinkin C7 to match the Hertiage in front and SP-1 for rears. Any Input?
  8. I am currently upgrading my entire system. I now have Heresy II's in front with a KSW-15 (unbelievable). Now I need some rears. How much of an affect will the di/bi poles have in a small room. I'm thinkin if I lose the directivity it will end up mixing with my fronts in such a small room. Now about the RP-3 and the SP-1's, are they a little low to the ground to be rears. If so could I use a cinder block or something to get them higher without affecting playback in any way? Now if the above is true, then I will have to choose between the two. I know the Reference series is probably better, but The powered 12 is not that important since I have the 15. But if I'm getting the towers I might as well get one withe a powered sub. In my book to much bass at hand is never a problem. I can always turn the gains down to tune the system. Could using the Heresy's as surrounds be an option? They are kind of big to be putting back there in my small room. I also need a center channel. Either the RC-1 or the SC-1. I'm thinin with the system I have I might as well get the RC-1 even though it is a little big. I heard that klisch has a center channel they put out a couple of years ago that has a folded horn in it? is this true? I think the model was something like KPC-S5 or something. I saw it on audioreview.com. Any help would be great.
  9. I have a chance to pick up a pair of Lovan Ballet III speaker stands for $160. Does anybody have any experience with or comments on these stands to help me out?
  10. I'm in the market for some new speaker stands. 21-24" would be ideal. They also must be strong enough to hold my Heresy II's. Any suggestions? What about the slant raiser bases? Comments?
  11. Does a surge protector give a powered sub all the current it needs? I have the KSW 15 and I am not sure if I should plug it into a surge protector cause I want to be sure it gets all the juice it needs. Does it really make a difference?
  12. Won't glueing magnets to the back of the woofer decrease it's efficiency? I have the Hersey II's and they really mess with my TV if they are too close. Now I have them about one and a half feet away and angled in a little bit for imaging. I have no problems like that. But I now have the KSW 15 and I would like to put it in the corner but There isn't enough room for it and the Hersey in that corner. What do I do?
  13. How much does a great set of cables REALLY affect the overall theater? Is there an actuall audio difference in using Monster Cable, or just some radio shack cheapies? If it does matter that much, do you have any suggestions on what kind. I'm not looking to spend $100 some dollars on some cables. Mainly I want a new cable for my KSW 15.
  14. I have a question that kind of goes along with this. What the heck do they do to the magnet to video shield it? Can you v-shield a non-v-shielded speaker. If so how?
  15. I'm not quite getting all of this. If you are using your LFE than the sub's crossover should have nothing to do with it. I have the KSW 15 and the LFE is not filtered by the sub crossover.
  16. I just picked up the KSW 15 for my Herseys, to help the low low end. I am thinking about getting my Herseys off the ground now. But they aren't video shielded. Is there a way to shield them without messing with the sound? Any tips would help. Thanks KLIPSCH 4 LIFE
  17. Hey just picked up the KSW 15. WOW! It blows my mind. Bass so deep klipsch must have had to dig for it! Does anyone have any tips for me? placement? crossover setting? level setting? I have a pair of Hersey II's with it. Herseys were a little weak on the low low end for me, looks like this should do it! Now should I get the herseys off the ground and on some stands?
  18. I own a pair of Hersey II's and I wish I had about 3 more, cause if I could use them for every channel of my HT I would! Nothing but good things to say about the Hersey's. When I started my HT they were the first speakers I bought. After I heard them I will now never buy another speaker other than Klipsch. I am using them for my fronts. As far as the speaker stands, if you own a sub, getting them up in the air is a good idea, fr imaging purposes but, taking them away from the floor will cut back on the low end. ------------------
  19. WOW!!!!!!! Klipsch speakers have really impressed me. I have heard all types of speakers. car audio and home audio. Up until a little while ago Jamo was the best home audio speaker I ever heard. But I would like to take this opportunity to say that Klipsch has blown my mind. I bought a pair of Hersey II's and they are just awesome. So clear I can hear an orchestra player breath in during the song. UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Klipsch!!!!!!!!
