Well I guess you’re going to be pissed! Lol!! -
The kpt396 does not have the x curve. The only surrounds that do are those that are thx approved.

2.2uF 2.0uF and Types you use. Chorus "I"
Chief bonehead replied to VSAT88's topic in Technical/Restorations
One of the reasons this is so is because the impedance of the driver is not constant. It varies with freq so when changing a cap that has different specs or a different value or both, it has to work in conjunction with the impedance. It is especially challenging when working with horn horn loaded drivers because the impedance curve is increase and varies quite a bit more. that’s also why your network calculator is giving strange values. It is assuming a constant impedance. That doesn’t happen in the real world. -

You would be surprised how much the output changes by not using the same value and spec capacitor. This applies mostly to caps in series with the driver. On the woofer section, if the cap is in parallel, then is should be ok to keep it electrolytic. Using a different type of cap here is not so critical because it is in parallel with the driver. -
So your klipsch klf-30’s are not klipsch anymore.......

No. The weight is attached to the cone. The dust cap covers the weight. -

Chief bonehead replied to Monkeybuddy's topic in General Klipsch Info
Although I would have to look it up, the chorus drone has less weight than the forte drone. -
In scenario 3 the lf will load each and extend the cutoff.

If the impedance is consistent, then an l pad will work because it will attenuate the freq response evenly. If the impedance if not consistent, then the lpad will not attenuate the freq response evenly.
