Tough one because I wasn’t the one that did the redesign. I will tell that I was asked to listen to comparison not knowing which was what and I ended up picking the al3……mind you after playing about 30 of my ref cuts.

You know in honor of Deano becoming the net guy….I will now call him 75cent!! -
One more time….modded klipsch speaker threads are not allowed…..period. If you don’t like it, then go somewhere else. It should have NEVER been allowed. And if we hide threads, well now you know why. Get over it. You can call this the “Great Purge”. This thread (and any other that come forth) is going to be locked. And of course…..remember…..I am the chief bonehead.

Claude. I’m going to have to start calling 50 cent. Your stories are about 50% accurate…..lol!

Way overly simplistic…..but ok. If you say so.

Although I appreciate the kind words, I am an audio novice. In about 1989, I was introducing a young engineer to mr K. The young engineer told Paul that he was so eager and honored to work for mr k. He told Paul that he wanted to get to know as much as he could from mr K because Paul knew so much. In typical fashion, Paul paused for a few minutes before he replied to his remark. And I will never forget this……Paul told the young engineer, I’m still learning. So you see, if you are honest about yourself…..you never stop learning.

I modified the equation. Took over a year doing over 70 protos. God is good!

I don’t know if I even still have those horns…….it certainly was a Kodak moment.

The forum caught the bonehead virus. We were in isolation for a few days. It looks like some you still have the bonehead symptoms

'Should you tune your sound system FLAT'?
Chief bonehead replied to Schu's topic in Technical/Restorations
There is actually a way to tune speakers in a room or environment. There quite a bit of factors to take into consideration but first you must know what you speaker is doing…..not just on axis but off axis…..and all the other axes -

This thread is about deano being approved as a klipsch network builder. If you don’t like or don’t contribute in that direction, then move on. -
