  1. I've owned oak KLF-10's and currently have 20's and 30's.  The 10's are not "better" than the 20's or 30's in MY OPINION, but they are a fantastic sounding speaker for the money.  Really punchy, low bass and smooth midrange.   Well worth the price Mystery is asking!  Good luck with the sale.

A month ago I bought Lascalas or I would be all over these. Are you looking for smaller speakers?

Yes, I'm looking for KLF's or CF's. As it turns out, my room dimensions and corners aren't ideal for Khorns.

Got room for Cornwalls? I've got a pair from 1980 that I veneered with walnut and added crites crossover...

The only speaker I'm willing to trade for are KLF30's or 20's, that are in excellent condition.  Color doesn't matter.

  3. You guys are hilarious.  Anyone who has spoken to me, or knows me, hopefully knows I don't take this audio stuff all that seriously.  It's a hobby.  Thanks for scolding me in the e-mail Mark.  It was my intent to offer the Khorns to forum members for $1500.  The Craigslist "lowballers" were beating me up something fierce, so I decided to play their game and list them for what most Khorns get listed at.  Then, a lowball offer wouldn't be a lowball offer.  That was my logic, until I got reported to the Craigslist police.   Things seem to be tough over here, close to Detroit.

In 23 years of being in this hobby, I've never had a more "weird" attempted sale of a piece of audio gear.  I listened to my wife and decided to keep the Khorns.  They sound superb and they aren't worth "giving away".

So, I tried reverse psychology and posted them again at $2K .  Why not, couldn't hurt anything.

Well, you could get nasty emails calling you bad names.

Luckily no anygry forum members showed up at your house and roughed you up in the name of their good friend, the Flea.

Funny, because I actually did get a rather scathing e-mail from a forum member here.   Didn't show up at my house though.

  5. I appreciate the concern guys, but that was my ad.   :D  Ann Arbor is one hour from me and has a higher audiophile density than Toledo.  I originally listed the khorns at $2K and got TWO offers for $1500.  I didn't accept them at the time as I was holding out for a bit more.  So, I tried reverse psychology and posted them again at $2K .  Why not, couldn't hurt anything.  Perhaps get another lowball offer at my Klipsch forum asking price.  Anyway, thanks for reporting me to CL.

Still working on the KLF's here.  Don't know what's going on with the dude that said he supposedly had them....if it wasn't for the once in a blue moon great deal, I would give up completely on CL.  What a pain.

Thanks for your effort jimjimbo.  No worries.

  7. On a side note, I've made an audio purchase from Fleawatt (excellent transaction and no problems for an XA 30.5) in the past through another forum and was actually dissapointed that I had to have him ship the item, mostly because I couldn't fit a drive into my schedule at that time to pick up as I really wanted to make a stop at Myles Pizza in Bowling Green for what I consider some of the best local pizza in the area.

Ahhh, the XA30.5.  I miss her so much. The greatest amp I ever paired with my KLF's.  Darn motorcycle purchase caused me to sell it.  Grrrr.

Fjd, if you buy the Khorns and make the trip, I'll buy you all the Myle's Pizza and beer you can consume in one evening. :D

  8. Re-listed at $1500 for forum members or trade for KLF series/turntables.  Pick-up only.

I added a link in the original post of some close up photos I took of the flaws.  I've seen ones in a lot worse shape go for more money.

Listed on my local Craigslist for $1600.

  9.

    I'll buy them.

    PM sent.

They never sold.  I'm just going to keep them, store them away and try again if the market for them ever re-bounds.

I thought he said he would take them?

He posted this, messaged me the same with phone number.  He requested to leave a message if he didn't answer.  Which I did.  I also sent him a private message.  He did finally respond, but wanted to have a shipping company move them to MA.  Backed out when shipping quote was more than the speaker cost.
