  1. It depends on the wood finish. Maybe around $700-1000?
  2. If you are handy, you can use something this this https://www.amazon.com/Jabinco-Insulated-Terminal-Binding-Amplifier/dp/B07ZJLB6QK/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1JBJT263DMPRD&keywords=banana+binding+posts&qid=1648671708&sprefix=banana+binding+posts%2Caps%2C65&sr=8-3 Remove the terminal cup, separate the crossover from the cup, and Install these in the old ones place. I have done similar to a pair of Chorus II speakers.
  3. W means they were made in 1981
  4. These are from 1977. The value is tough to judge without any photos since value is affected greatly by cosmetic and working condition. Roughly $400-800 depending on condition, finish, location, etc.
  5. I have klf30s and have heard them in a 2 channel setup as well as home theater. In my setup, I feel like they did better in home theater. I've heard Cornwall IV at a dealer with very good equipment driving them and they sound absolutely amazing for music.
  6. Honestly don't know since they have never been in the same room. Maybe I'll test it this week Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk

    What I Got Today!

When I was a kid, I wanted to watch the Flintstones on tv, so I put some Flintstone toys in my dad's VCR. Oops @TomR
  8. Ok, read and inspect the pictures carefully. I figured I would ask $200 or best offer for this. I am willing to ship at buyer's expense, most likely $100+ to ship because of the weight and size of this speaker. If you are looking for the performance of the RC-7 but don't care about cosmetics, here you go. This was part of a package deal that my father bought. This speaker was kept in the garage and had significant water damage. It was stored on one side standing up. The front and rear panels started to come unglued from the damage. There was mold on the inside and outside of the cabinet pieces. I sanded everything down to remove the finish and mold, etc. I used a mold killing spray on all the pieces of the cabinet. After that dried over night, I did some finish sanding and stained the cabinet black since the cherry veneer was destroyed from the water damage. The front motorboard panel was spray painted a solid black. I used liquid nail to glue the front and rear panels back in place and let them set up in clamps for several days. There is swelled up mdf areas, nothing is perfectly straight, but the cabinet edges are sealed since I used a liberal amount of liquid nail over all the seems. The woofers have serious dents. The tweeter, ports, and crossover seems fine. The grill is missing 2 pegs and the Klipsch badge. The speaker is solid now and sounds very good to my ears. Feel free to ask me any questions. 9. Those are kg2 speakers. In good working and cosmetic condition, they are worth roughly $100-200. If they need work, closer to $50. Where are you located? Maybe a forum member is near you and can try to help
  10. I have a set of Crites Type B crossovers that are bi-ampable, not sure how different the crossover design is from the B2.
  11. It's not like there was a year that the issue happened, it was the luck of the draw. I've had early klf30s that really needed it repaired. I currently have consecutive klf30s. One cabinet needed to be repaired, the other didn't, at least not yet. My klf10s, didn't need it and my dad's klf20s didn't need it, but my klf-c7 did. Knock along the cabinets to see if they sound solid or if there's an almost rattle to them. Knock along the front and back panels as all as the sides, but the sides shouldn't need to ever be repaired.
  12. Same person, he changed his screen name for some reason @Crankysoldermeister
  13. Try to talk to the seller on the phone and walk him through identifying the crossover type and possibly what midrange driver it has

    KP-250 II $500

They are on Craigslist as well. https://boston.craigslist.org/nos/ele/d/danvers-klipsch-kp-250-ii-pa-speakers/7459590672.html I have never met the seller, but I've heard not great things about him. He sells a ton of audio gear. He does lots of "upgrades" on some speakers. Usually something like a $5 tweeter or something. I would just be careful buying them and check out everything before paying for them.
  15. They are Heresy Birch Raw speakers that were made in 1985
  16. I appreciate it, but it's too of and doesn't have atmos and dts:x which is the biggest thing I need Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  17. But how do we know this uses fully balanced outputs? All the brands use balanced xlr in the marketing, but I'm being told that this is not true. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  18. I am thinking about upgrading my home theater from using my Denon AVR-x6200w receiver as a preamp/processor to a real pro/pro. I had my eye on the Marantz AV7706, but I spoke with a dealer about it and he explained with that unit, its basically a receiver without the amp. If I wanted a real change, I should look at the Marantz AV8805a. Another option would be the Anthem AVM70. Another thing he told me that concerned me was pretty much any pre/pro that is under $10k would not be true balanced XLR outputs, its basically just the same thing as the RCA outputs, but using XLR ports to look better and give the appearance of luxury. Is this true? Another unit I was looking at was the Monoprice Monolith HTP-1. Specs list it as balanced outputs, now I am not sure if that is true or not.
  19. I can help with shipping if you want. I'm pretty sure he won't budge on his price. I just picked up a really beat up rc7, but haven't checked it out yet to see how much work is really needed or if it can even be fixed. Reach out to me if you want Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  20. After you get the finish off, wipe some mineral spirits on the veneer to see what it will look like finished with some sort of clear coat.
  21. 4 main systems. I have a 7.1.4 atmos surround sound system in the living room. I have my main stereo system with my khorns in my living room. I have another stereo setup with my belles in my bedroom and RF-7 II speakers hooked up as well on speaker output B. I have an older Marantz surround sound receiver with RB-81 speakers hooked up to my TV in my bedroom. Then there's my basement. Nothing down there is consistent. I play with all kinds of stuff. Usually I have my Pioneer SX-1010 hooked up to some speakers like my chorus III project. I have some Yamaha separates that I've been playing with down there lately with the chorus III project.
