It looks from your system profile that your powering your system with a Yamaha RX-V757. It's a nice receiver but not enough to get the most out of all those RF7s. If you want a big upgrade add an outboard amplike a B&K or Sunfire.

The SACD of dsotm has a CD layer on it and the CD layer is one of the best versions on CD. If you do some searching around the net there is a DTS version of wish you were here floating around that you can download and burn on a CD. I don't have it but I have heard it.

+3 on Yamaha being bright is a myth. All 3 receivers are good units. Listen to them and see which you like the best. If they all sound the same to you then pick the one with the features you want most.

RF7s with B&K amp ilink capable components for SACD/DVDA

I have Pioneer 59avi connected by ilink so I can send SACD/DVDA digitally and apply THX music or any other processing to the signal.

I guess how they do will depend on each owner and how they decide to run the store. The guy I buy from turned out to be one of the new owners of the Louisville store. I think he and 2 other guys partnered up.

Anybody using THX post processing. I recently used THX music mode with some multichannel SACDs and DVDAs and had great results. I was wondering if I could expect the same results with DVD movies. I would like to hear other people's experiences.

If it's not present from other sources it's the cable. Klipsch speakers are very revealing. Anything bad in the signal is going to be heard. Same with music. If you play a bad recording it will be painfully obvious.

My local Ovation reorganized, changed ownership, changed thier business model, and moved. They are going to focus more on custom install work instead of retail. But the guy I deal with said we will still be able to come in and buy from them. And more importantly they will still carry Klipsch. My understanding is the original owner of Ovation filed bakruptcy. The stores that are still in business are now individually owned. The owners had to buy the rights to the name and the database.

Haven't used that particular model. I am very happy with the htr5760 and the RX-V4600 that I do have experience with.

usually the bass managment and time alignment are way better in a receiver/pre pro than in the player it looks like the lossless dolby digital will work on any receiver/pre pro with hdmi
