  1. I have allready tryed the first 4 suggestions.

In march i'll get my self the wireless system to try it out. As of now the sub is turned down and re-calibrated with my Onkyo receiver to +12db on the sub volume.

I even tryed a different receiver and ground loop isolator.

  2. I sent mine to repair, Got it back and the sub is not broken. This is how all R-115SW sounds. Klipsch told me the best way to eliminate the hum is to buy the wireless kit, or turn down the volume button on the back and make a new callibration with your microphone pluged in the receiver.

  3. I tryed mounting the isolator at the receiver and sub.

I don't use a power console. The hum i still there when cable is in sub but not in receiver but goes away when in receiver and not in the sub.

I only have one sub on my system.

  4. The system you have will do fine without a sub until you can save up some more money. If you could get that up to about $800, the R-115SW has been well reviewed here in the subwoofer forum. If you can save about a grand, a pair of the tiny SVS PB-1000's would be even better.

I would go for the R-115SW. I got i with the same system as yours. I'm glad i thoose the 15"

  5. I haven't heard the 12" or 10" but i really like the 15". It sounds perfect with the reference 62II system..

You Can hear when it kicks in, but in a Way you wont notice. And has A LOT of power!

  6. Now.... I followed your advise on co on my receiver.

    At First i tryed this:

    Front: full band

    Rest: 60hz

Sub: knob on sub: all the way 150 hz

In receiver: 120 hz. Double bass on. Results: a LOT of bass but not so thight.

Then i tryed double bass OFF and xo at 70hz.

That ment i had to turn up the volume on the sub and Got a wierd buzz...

New test: xo 60hz double bass OFF and up a bit up on sub gain. Works great!!

Great job working through the settings. For my system double-bass does not work well, the same as yours.

All though... My sub i still making a buzz sound. Cable i okay and High end.

I Can make the buzzing go away by turning hz knob or gain knob down.. Pretty anoying!

    That might be a problem:

    http://www.avsforum.com/forum/113-subwoofers-bass-transducers/1370430-my-klipsch-sw-112-sub-rattles-bit-inside.html

I have a Klipsch RW-12d which is a step down from yours, and although mine does not have any problems, the RW-12d had a known problem of rattling. The solution for it was well known; the port was loose, so some glue fixed it with a minimum of trouble. If you need more references for the discussion for that, I think I can find them.

That would be great, i made a new tread on sub forum.

  8. I Can tell you this... It's awesome!

But i am having some issues with the sound. It's like it sounds better in 2 different places when either listening to music or movies.
