  1. Do you have a Frys Electronics up there? I'm in WA, across the BC Border. Once in a while, Frys has the R112sw for $399 USD. got the R115sw for $429 USD. That being said, the R12SW is a better unit, IMO. The 115 fills my 15x20' room with really low slow rumbling bass. I miss the 12sw I was using. It has the well defined and sharp punch that's missing. 2. I am confused as to why there is rust on the screws. Any ideas? Anyone? Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  3. Working on it... Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  4. The sound quality and fullness are night and day. The Sunfire is warmer and all around better for my tastes. No comparison actually. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  5. I'll let jjptkd explain. I think it was under powered equipment and room dynamics Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  6. Thank you to jjptkd for coming up today. Ahhhh... Bass! So nice! Greatly appreciated! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  7. Ran the jumpers, ran single wires from the XPA5 to the speakers... Unchanged. The speakers will put out bass, but you have to have the volume level up nearly all of the way. Which, the volume that high isn't relaxing at all. Not that I mind loud music, it just doesn't sound good. The woofers still aren't even moving an 1/8" and its not earth shaking. You can set your hand on the woofers and feel them vibrating however. I also swapped the +and - to see if that made a difference. Oddly enough, it made zero difference... 8. I have done this with and without the jumpers. After hearing originally that the jumper wasn't needed, I set it up again couple weeks ago without it. Sound is just the same with or without it. I'm willing to redo it again with a jumper. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  9. When they were first auditioned, they did move a lot and they pushed a ton of air through the ports. I've yet to duplicate that. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  10. Absolutely not. Barely even 1/8". Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  11. It really does seem like the LF is being bypassed. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  12. I'm not running them bi amped. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

  14. The only system I've heard these on that was amazing were the initial demo session with an older Rotel which was bi amoed. Since bringing them home and trying them on a Rotel, Denon and now Emotiva, none of them are impressive in the least. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  15. Up until about a week ago, I had taken it down to its dumbed down function of mains only. After moving I figured I'd hook everything up in an attempt to go at it again. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  16. They worked flawlessly when I demod them. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  17. I have moved the speakers in and out of the corners. Tried different crossover settings, turned sub to off, tried them with a jumper wire, tried without, tried adjusting the manual eq to enhance the bass, all that being said, it's pretty stale.
  18. I have tried that setting, along with various crossover changes. All remains unchanged. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  19. No additional audio equipment to test with. I also am not using jumpers. I have 4 wires running to the speaker connections. Then paired up at the amp. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  20. It's been on every setting. But, I've been running it direct. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  21. Wow. Yep, no where even remotely close to anything like a sub. They are basically bass dead. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  22. As much as I hate to admit that, yes. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  23. Hey Thank you for posting this. I feel as if I have beat this horse to death, to the point I am losing interest in this set up. Please don't offer to take them off my hands, or other various comments I've received. I REALLY want this set up to work. Running New Emotiva XPA5, New UMC200, KLF30 mains, KLF C7 center and RB10's as my surrounds, Sub is Dynaudio300. Originally I had this set up by an audiophile who ran EMO-Q and called it good. Well, it's been relatively boring. When I heard the KLF30's auditioned originally on an older Rotel, he had them bi-amped and they boomed. Walls shook, etc. Since I've had them set up, now in 2 different homes, they are crystal clear, but no bass. When I say "no bass", I don't mean, absolutely 100% flat, I mean, it is very very subtle, almost undetectable to the point where I pull the covers off and feel the woofers to make sure they are working. I've made sure they are not out of phase, I have used a 9v battery to check the woofers to make sure they move, I have had them close to the wall and far away. Unchanged. Several people state that they have similar components, even KLF20's and they boom their entire house. Something seems to be wrong. I have ran EMO-Q, ran flat, ran direct, removed everything except the mains...still nothing but boring. The only bass response worth noting is the sub. Which that is an uneven match for the Klipsch components I am using. It seems as if there is something in the set up that simply isn't allowing me to get enough juice into these mains to get them to work. I'd think however that the power supply I am using should be ample. I have tried this with a Denon AVR4311 and my UMC200... no difference. I have to have this system turned way up, nearly up all the way to the point that it's painful. Still, bass response is nearly nil. I know for many of you, chasing these audio gremlins is a lot of fun. Me on the other hand, I could REALLY use some help. Is there ANYONE near zip code 98226 that can help me? Please Thank you Corey
