  1. Yeah I contacted him when I decided I was gonna pull the trigger on some new speakers But he's not coming close to what I'd be willing to pay for them so no deal.
  2. My girlfriend is giving me a hard time about the color since all my other speakers and equipment is all black. I'm still interested, just gotta get the approval 1st. I'll get back to you. Thanks for the pics.
  3. I'm seriously considering these. Can I get some more pics of these? Preferably in better lighting so I can see the veneer better? I'm familiar with Osage beach, it's not close but I used to drive there all the time during summers. Thanks
  4. Damn, see that's why I ask. Thanks.
  5. I don't know much about this topic and I'm about to pull the trigger on an amp but it's not located in the U.S. and states 230 volt so I'm making sure before I purchase that it'll actually work in my home. Thanks!
  6. Just a fyi, if you get CF-4's in a room with a long wall with tall ceilings and play with spacing, they'll sound amazing. I've never had the right room to have mine in until I bought my new house and once I got their placement just right, they imaged like no other. And mine are all original, unmodded AND I had em on a budget Denon receiver.
  7. Brother, I am so sorry to hear that. I am mad for you. Some people are just clueless. I would never let UPS/Fed Ex pack my gear for me, especially a 100lbs amp. Notify Audiogon and the seller ASAP and provide detailed photos. This is how you pack an amp. One of my Acurus A250's I sold to a forum member. Bill I notified the seller immediately and he filed a claim with UPS. I'm looking at Audiogon's site and all I see is PayPal PayPal purchase protection info. Is there something I'm supposed to do with audiogon or PayPal to protect me since I received broken equipment? I've bought tons of stuff on ebay and never had an issue like this so this is new to me and I'm not wanting to put the seller in a bad spot while he's trying to get this taken care of with UPS. But at the same time I want to make sure I don't end up out of luck with a broken amp I paid a lot of money for, ya know?
  8. Well UPS did a TERRIBLE packing job and the amp is ruined. Scratches, chips, and internal pieces falling out of the amp, amp going into protection, etc. The box was 3 times the size of the amp with peanuts surrounding the amp, which was wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap and a flat piece of cardboard on top and bottom. That thing took a beating going from MD to IL.
  9. And I got it cheaper than the asking price.
  10. Did you get the one on Audiogon? If so, that was a very good deal. Bill Yep, Stalked it on audiogon until I decided on it. Should be here tomorrow.
  11. Ended up with an ATI AT-2505. I've read good things. Can't wait to hear it.
  12. I appreciate the info fellas. Now comes decisions, which I'm terrible at when there's so many good choices!
  13. I'm curious if your amps you guys have mentioned have the audible hiss that I've grown accustomed to with just using receivers wit my epics and reference premieres. Now that I'm looking at running an amp to power them, I want a low noise floor but also depth and imaging.
  14. I'm looking to add an amp or 2 to my setup. I've got the reference premier 280's up front and I'm looking to hear from those who have run ant of the amps I'm looking at that have been tried and true with klipsch for music. I've been looking at the following: Emotiva XPA-1's, XPA-2, SA-250,or XPA-1L's B&K reference 2220,220m's,7250,7270,200.5, 200.7 ATI 1506, 2505, or any other Rotel RB-1090, RB-1582 MKII And others I can't think of right now. Anybody ran these and your opinions? I appreciate any info.
  15. I appreciate you meeting me. Got it all setup without a hitch. Thanks!
  16. I need these! Trying to come up with a plan to get the money together and not be killed by my girlfriend. I'm already dragging her to pick up the r-115sw's this weekend, so I'm already sleeping with one eye open so she doesn't choke me out in my sleep. Ot just so happens my one eye open accidentally came across this post and now I'm all panicked trying to devise a new master plan.
  17. Those woofers would look pretty awesome in a car audio setup, it would definitely stand out.
  18. This is harder than I thought. I just need a decent looking rack or stand for my future equipment and either they don't hold enough weight, aren't good for the dimensions of the equipment, or they're way too expensive. I'll have to stop by my local audio shop here and see what they use.
  19. After looking to beef up my receiver and amp, I'm wondering what audio stands do you guys use that are good looking, not too expensive, and can hold up to a 100 lb amp, a 50+ lb receiver, blu-ray player, directv receiver, etc? Thanks
  20. Yeah I'm thinking about Rotel, B&K, Emotiva, Sherbourn, ATI, or Parasound. For warranty purposes I should give Emo a try but I've read nothing but great things about the others so IDK which way I'm leaning.
  21. I've been waiting for the right subwoofer upgrade for my system and this was it. Can't wait to get them home and setup.
  22. Where are you located?
  23. Anyone tried the Rotel RB-1582 MKII, or Emotiva SA-250, or NAD 218, or anything along those lines? Believe me, I'd love to have full mac tube gear, but that's not happening anytime soon. Once a win the lottery though...
  24. I posted this question on another forum and I realized it's meant for this forum since you guys have experience with Klipsch speakers,I've got Klipsch Epic CF-4 speakers up front. I'm debating on an Integra 70.6 and running a 2 channel amp for more power for music and I'd like to use the balanced outputs on the integra to a nice 2 channel amp. I've ran several surround sound receivers on these and I've never been satisfied since I've never had the right setup for them so it's time to try a separate amp in addition to a surround sound receiver so I can get the best of both worlds for music and movies. What experience have you guys had with the best sounding combo for these speakers? They're very temperamental with what powers them as I've learned over the years and am ready to squeeze out their true potential. Let me know, thanks!
