It's an ever changing work in progress until the day I can actually afford Klipschorns all around :), but I have an Onkyo TX-NR515 receiver, Klipsch Heresy II as fronts, RC-25 Center, R15Ms for Surrounds and a 10" Polk junk sub. Like I said, work in progress.

  1. You never want the guys in front try to catch the ball. There's too much room for error. Each person on the receiving team should have someone to block, that allows the person behind him to field the ball. If he fumbles, there shouldn't be someone on him immediately if everyone makes their assigned blocks. To you and Ceptorman: First, agreed. He should have blocked. That is his role. Bostick isn't a "catching" TE, he is a blocking TE, for one. Also, in his interview after the game he admitted he knew he was supposed to let Jordy, the best hands on the team, make the catch and block for him. He was playing superhero, and GB should NOT offer a new contract after this year. Should not. Period. That is just ignorant and a blatant disregard for the Special Teams Coach and the rest of his team. Sure, we can mention the dropped pass on 3rd and 4, we can talk about the blown coverage on the fake field goal, we can talk about the blown coverage on the 2pt conversion and we can talk about the blown coverage on the final play of the game. However, all of those things can happen at any time to any player in the NFL. They are true mistakes. Bostick jumping up in front of THE BEST hands on the team when you know that is NOT what you are supposed to do is anything but a mistake. It is blatant disregard for the team and the coaches, and I don't think the fans will ever forgive or forget this one. Never. I don't know if GB will give him a chance for next year or not, but honestly, I hope not.
  2. I'm just disgusted with my Packers mistakes. I will be haunted by this for the rest of my life.
  3. "Any team to upset the Seahawks on their turf deserves to go to the Super Bowl." And that they will tnr. That they will.
  4. I'm supposed to go up Saturday and get the Heresy's. So, technically he doesn't. ;-)
  5. Funny how the Pats have such a poor rep (and they should), unless you are talking to a New Englander. LOL Then, they, along with the Red Sox, are like Gods or something. muhahahahha
  6. I have reviewed all the subwoofer recommendations thus far. Very nice. Very nice indeed. I don't claim to be a master, obviously, of the technical side of speaker specifications. However, I am surprised, maybe due to a lack of indepth knowledge, that no one recommended just going with the new Klipsch Reference 15. Have they just not managed to reach that top level in bass production and quality yet, at that price level? At least in my somewhat lack of knowledge, I know what general speaker company to go with. I'm no fool. Technically lacking knowledge in some fields, sure, but no fool.
  7. I do believe you are talking about the great Dave Kilminster: possibly anyway... http://davekilminster.com/ He toured with Roger during the In The Flesh era and shared lead with Snowy. I had to google it….he played left handed with a regular strung right handed guitar….http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doyle_Bramhall_II OH YEAH! Oh BRAM! I always get he and Kilminster confused. Kilminster was during the DSOTM and WALL tours of the recent Roger Waters tours. Bram was the one during the In The Flesh tour that always wore the funny velvet outfits and crazy stuff like that on stage. He is awesome, so is Kilminster, but Bram was fun to watch. He is the one featured on the In The Flesh DVD. Ah yes, this slip of instant Floyd knowledge from me only means one thing! I need to watch that DVD when I get home today!
  8. I'm a huge Packers fan, and know we can win. It is just, will we pull through. Sure, I already know Seattle is going to score on us, but we are one of the best scoring teams in the league, when Rogers isn't hurt. I think it comes down to that alone. Can Rogers move out of the pocket with the calf injury and, with the help of Lacy, lead us to outscoring the Seahawks? It will take Rogers moving and Lacy running, at least some and I don't think he even has to be that effective overall, to keep that defense honest enough to allow us to continually score on them. However, if Rogers can gimp along and play as great as he has the past two weeks with a torn calf, along with our defense showing up, we are good to go.... I hope. :/ I can't stand the Pats, CANNOT STAND THEM, but I don't see them losing to Luck at home. No way.
  9. Honestly, IMO, you may be over thinking this one. I had to force myself to step back and realize it was unfinshed work. We are not getting Piper, or DSTOM, or WYWH, or Division Bell, we are getting one last horrah, one last glimpse at what they truly enjoyed and enjoyed doing together. Nick even stated in an interview with NME that this one was truly meant to be rough, lost, and all over the place; because it was technically studio jams that were never truly completed with Rick. The only story being told in this one, is the story of playing music together and being happy doing so. Jam sessions, Rick, life, and the awe of music, hence the only song they went in and did new lyrics for being Louder Than Words. "We ***** and we fight. Dis each other on site, but this thing we do. These times together. Rain or shine or stormy weather. This thing we do. It's louder than words, this thing that we do. Louder than words, the way it unfurls. It's louder than words, the sum of our parts, the beat of our hearts is louder than words"

  11. Okay folks, who you got this weekend?
  12. Trust me buddy, being in this hobby you become a season tickets holder to an annual wallet bleeding. i’ve been real good for a long while now…no new speakers…now new guitars…there’s my lovely weakness. My weakness is really computers, as far as revolving door expenses. Luckily, I can set a goal on a receiver or speakers I want, work to get them, and I'm very content for long periods of time. I just can't do that with computers though. I do a lot of graphic design, video and audio editing as a freelance designer and for my corporate world job. That makes it hard for me to not want the next best and greatest PC every year. Oh well, such is life.
  13. It's like we all have brain damage. You lunatics need to stay out of my head.
  14. I saw some of Ca Ira on You Tube -- not enough to form an opinion.Roger’s concerts are fantastic actually. Played nearly identical to an LP -- which i take pleasure in; however, heard a few people bashing that … accusing him of being too technically perfect and not showing any enjoyment. I disagree with them of course. In addition, I’m a fan of this guitarist named Snowy White and he was part of Roger’s band both times that I saw him. I do like and respect David Gilmour; but, wasn’t missing him while watching Snowy. Very cool. You know, Snowy has played as backup guitarist for Floyd and a lead for Roger since the 70s with Floyd. Thus, why he was so good when you saw him play with Roger. He had many years experience at those Pink Floyd songs. :-) snowy also played with phil in thin lizzy for a while, talented guy. Yes, I really like Snowy. It was sad to only see Roger without all the other guys, but Snowy and John Carin made it as authentic as you could want for a Floyd experience.
