As long as it’s a good working K-55m you wouldn’t tell a difference. -
Guide for diagnosing issues 85 La Scala Pros

You can find K-55m’s and k-77’s fairly easy on eBay or maybe a member here has an extra set. Post a wanted add in the garage sale section. I would recommend buying from a Klipsch member first. -

How do the 8” woofers sound compared to the 15”. I meant to ask this when I first saw you did this. Thanks in advance.

Guide for diagnosing issues 85 La Scala Pros

Shouldn’t have to worry about the screws that hold the x-over to the cabinet. You can swap components from speaker to speaker to troubleshoot. -
That is really weird. I assumed it was vibration in the wall caused by different frequencies. You might want to take the mid horn out and check to see if the driver is tight to the horn.
-
I understand now. I thought you were referring to the mid horn buzzing.
-
The mid shouldn’t be buzzing no matter how close it is to the wall. The Chorus II was meant to be placed at least a foot from the back wall or corner. I have found that they sound best around 2ft from a wall.

Sold!! Klipsch La Scala Split Fiberglass
nickyboy6100 replied to nickyboy6100's topic in Garage Sale
It’s nice to know there are still really cool people out there that are just as excited about Klipsch speakers as I am. I really should have held onto those. The only other pair I’ve seen in that good of shape, are the set that I listen to daily. You two deserve them though. I really couldn’t imagine them going to anyone better or more deserving than you guys. You are welcome at my place anytime and I hope you come sometime just to chill and listen to some good music. I owe you dinner. Thanks again Cheryl. -
You’re probably due for an oil change.
-
That’s how I like it!

I don’t think you can beat MWM’s.

Very nice speakers. Rockhound is a great guy to deal with. Buy with confidence. I’ve driven 8 hours to buy speakers from him, sight unseen and they were better than advertised.

Does the preamp have the factory remote?
-
I agree with that.
-
I can vouch for both of them as well.

I agree. Save yourself some heartache and take the advice of the two posts above this one. Maybe a black eye too!😁

Great price on an excellent speaker. Your location probably isn’t helping. Good luck with your sale. -
Energy Veritas V6.3 versus Klipsch RF-7 II

Only choice is to resize. Very tough to do anything with photo’s on this site. -
I would say if you have the means, build new cabs. They are great speakers. Actually the speakers that started me into the Klipsch madness.
-
Keep your eye out. They pop up quite often on the usual sites. I have a pair that is as close to mint as you can get that I would part with if you’re close to Indiana.
-
That’s sucks. You could always just find a used set and salvage what drivers are good to keep for backups. You can usually find excellent used for $300-$350.
