  1. I have a pair very similar to yours. I want to paint them, but don’t want to cover up the stencil. Let me know if you find someone able to do it. I’d appreciate it. Just an FYI, if you open up the trap door on the doghouse, be ready for a fight. It took me about an hour to pry the door open without damaging anything. The gasket has turned to tar.
  2. Are the two stencil’s still available?
  3. I started with the ST140. Still one of my favorite amps. B&K 4420 and 2220 are my current amps. I really like the M series Yamaha stuff too, but like mentioned earlier, they had issues with the glue used on the boards. M-85 was by far the best amp with my Chorus II.
  4. Good luck with your search. You might consider using a shipping service to open up your possibilities. I recently had a pair of La Scala’s sent to me through UShip. La Scala’s are the perfect speaker to ship because there are no open drivers. I was very happy with the service.
  5. I totally agree with you. I’ve been putting off building a table tuba for a couple years now. Maybe this fall will be the time I pull the trigger. To be clear, I could live with only La Scala’s. I really like them and have since I got my first pair years ago. They are my favorite klipsch speaker. Even though they don’t go very low.
  6. As much as I try to convince myself that the smaller speakers do 90% of what the big speaker did, they just don’t. I’m not done with big Klipsch. For now, I’m content with La Scala’s.
  7. Well, you’ve got some of the best speakers Klipsch ever made. Enjoy.
  8. Not shocking at all, but I did the exact opposite. I started with Chorus II and ended up with La Scala’s. Chorus II is really hard to beat when set up properly. I prefer both.
  9. M series Yamaha amps work great with Chorus. M-85 was my favorite amp with my Chorus II. I tried quite a few. They all sounded good, but the M-85 definitely took them to the next level.
  10. HK-430 would be my choice for best bang for the buck. I sold one that I wish I would have kept. That said, all the usual suspects sound good with Klipsch Heritage.
  11. I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting older or just didn’t realize it when I was younger, but the last few trips to large cities have been very unpleasant.
  12. I hope not. I try to stay as far from town as I can.
  13. Jeez! That sounds absolutely terrible.
  14. Amps plug into a regular receptacle. I didn’t know how to hook my gear up to the included amps.
  15. Yes. I unhooked them and tested the speakers with my gear. I didn’t know how to test the with the amps installed. They take an odd 5 prong cord that plugs into the organ I assume.
  16. They look really nice in your area. Neil Young is always a great choice to test speakers.
  17. Same here. If I didn’t have La Scala’s, it would be Chorus or Chorus II or the pro version. I’m surprised I chose the La Scala’s over the Chorus II to be honest. There is just something magical about the La Scala’s that I really can’t put in words.
  18. Probably not quite 11, but I used to crank those babies. Yamaha M-85 puts out a lot of power. I tried many amplifiers/ integrated amps with those speakers. Nothing came close to the Yamaha. If I bought another set of Chorus it would be version one just to avoid the placement issues.
  19. Well, when I had my Chorus II’s they were cranked to 11 most of the time.😁 That is one speaker that sounds better the more watts you put to it.
  20. I too owned Chorus II’s for many years. I’ve only heard the original Chorus once and it was probably 10 years ago. I remember it sounded really good and couldn’t tell much of a difference between the two. I think Chorus speakers are the most underrated in the Klipsch lineup. It was really hard to give up the Chorus II for La Scala’s. That said, you can’t go wrong with either Chorus.
