  1. PrestonTom, i promise i won't sell it without knowing what i am selling. I will learn and tell prospects everything i can. In addition, i would prefer the buyer to see and even test it out before purchase. I just don't know if that will always be logistically possible. But, anyone is welcome to view it, if they can get here. :-)

  2. Wow. First of all, this is great information. Thank you to everyone. I have no selling price in mind other than i want a fair price. Certainly part of that is knowing what it is and what the components are. I grew up with these in my house. We moved in on 1967 and just sold it. I was told it was an 800, but apparently it is not. I'm using this to share this amazing speaker and to learn more about it. Mdeneen asked me to pay a starting price. I stated the 30k as a tongue in cheek because he said I have to start somewhere. I will take the front grill and bottom of this coming week and get back to all of you. Again, thank you!

  3. I have heard that these units sell for $5k-30k depending on the cabinetry on the outside (EV assembled, which this is, is the best) and the speakers inside (we're assuming ours is top of the line for the year built). It was also owned by Harry Nace, which is a plus.

Is anything in that range a possibility with you? I know you said price is everything. I want to sell this. But, I certainly don't want to be taken advantage of.

So, if you need a starting 'for sale' before negotiation price, let's start with $30k + shipping. We can work down from there. Lol

  4. Thanks, everyone, for your comments. Jimjimbo, i will try that and let you know! Mdeneen, yes it is for sale. But, it is hard to sell when I don't know the components that make it valuable, which is why I need to get into the cabinet. When I first posted this, I had no idea that there were several speaker options. I'm assuming it is the best of the best because Harry Nace would not have ordered anything less for his home. But, I wouldn't want to disappoint the buyer. Nor would I want to take less. The best sale is where it is a win win for everyone. Why are you interested in it? To do this right, I should identify your needs/wants, right? ;-)
