Find a Yamaha PX 3 or 2, prices are in the gutter. As good if not better then my Techinics SL 1200 and beter then my Thorens which many have raved about.....

This is a funny subject. it seems that many things are made cheaper over time. I mainly use vintage eq. I use a Mx 1000 for bass management, a HK cd player for preamp and cd, a yamaha t 85 tuner PX 3 turntable. These were all ear selected for synergy. I have tried some modern gear oppo cd players, sony "HD" tuners..... it didnt sound good in my space.....we all have different ears and tastes, remember ears are like horns and microphones....and fingerprints, snowflakes...

LTusler, I am.... gets some microphones, and room correction software, sound absorbtion, and you will be good to go... you will still need great recordings....

Is this the second pair in MN? I have a pair they are crazy good, but my bins are clones that the plans were gifted to a famous horn designer, but are heavier then the stock ones. Try the tads if you can find them, the 69 is good though. for all of you who are on the fence, buy them... the price might go way up....they make many speakers sound like silly....

Carl i think i sent you reaper seeds years ago. I went to the shop of the man who invented the cultivar.He was making hot sauce with a 3 foot stick blender, about 300 peppers no mask or gloves. i thought he was nuts.......

That is so funny, the worst pizza i ever had was in the Columbus Ohio area..... Cracker crust with grease, and always to salty, or it was sloppy yet still very greasy.... but we all have different tastes thats why we all eat at different places....

No Wuzzer, those were Altec Model 19's which were nice but my 604s i liked better for my type of listening. Ive have Jubs now so all should be good.... But i sure had alot of fun with those 604s....

Sold a pair of Altec 604 8G'S recently, had them for a very long time. I actually felt ill after doing so..... I ve never had this happen with anything i ve sold before..

Quirky little store in upstate NY, they sold lots of a few year old small amps from Japan, closeouts I assume. I knew very little about audio, they would advertise in our small paper with goofey pictures slogans and cartoons. The store was only 30' by 20' and was set up like a store from the past.. Heard Cornwalls and they had a well rounded very pleasing sound..... Low and behold, they turned their corporation into a monster just by customer service... Return anything, fix all things for free..... They ended up in Audio, real estate, clothing, food, spas, and development... There were lines to check out in this tiny little store, lots of klipsch buyers also!

Heres a funny one, have a friend who decided to get in the liquor business. Went to Scotland to apprentice for a few months to learn to make Scotch. Then started buying corn whiskey and adding burnt wood chips to it filtering it and selling it. Had an agreement to buy the company that was providing the corn whiskey.... they found out how much he was getting for a bottle, they ended up in court.... On the bottle it proudly says aged 3 months. He now makes an American Scotch type product, rye Whiskey, and sells it in bottles or small casks.... It is a lucrative business...

Just to mention a few. I live in the country on a dirt road with about ten houses with 3 parks, alot more people are using these parks. People are tailgating on our country roads. Drivers of certain vehicles are less likely to wear masks. People who proudly show their tattoos, are less likely to wear masks. All people at our local coops wear masks. Depending on the store you know there wont be alot of masks. The stock market hasnt crashed. What have you seen?

People havent you figured out the basics of cooking, extra fat and bad oils means less flavor.... oil coats your tongue, and you dont taste what you are truly eating, to bring our taste buds back in line we need salt, sugar or certain spices.....which some are good for you others not so good.......
