    Old eyes

Hmmm, "I can see clearly now". No wait it's "Lying eyes". I mean "Suite Jude Blue Eyes". No it has to be "Behind Blue Eyes". @NADmanget the glasses and keep the driving privileges'.
  2. Wow. My neighbors have turned this into a YEAR long celebration.
  3. Wall mounted paper is not always a true sign of knowledge. Hard knocks knowledge is just as valuable and usually more applicable. Typically people tend to migrate/ask for help from people whom they know can get the job done. Don't sell yourself short @joessportster. I too help friend in need because, it seems, a lot of my friend are not around anymore. A friend of mine has a PhD, DVM. and MBA behind behind his name and you still have to remind him it's raining outside so he can go and roll up his car windows.

    Price of steel

Sadly steel, HR and CR not to mention SS, are all on a roll HAHA.
  5. Very glad to be "cautiously" invested right now. Hope for the best and plan for the worst.

    On line dating

@oscarsearLife is too short to celebrate alone. Opportunity knocks, sometimes very quietly, so go for it and enjoy the journey.

    Kids these days

There's a lot to be said about grass stained knees on your jeans. Bug bites and, phew, smelling like a fish from having spent the last hour in the fish house cleaning fish.
  8. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. Same with my Black Lab on "bath day" he puts on the 125lb brakes pretty fast. My point is if you tell someone they have to do something that they do not want to do they resist harder. Misinformation and disinformation don't help either. At least in Russia when they tell you to get the Covid vaccine you also get a shot of Vodka.

    What Is Wrong

What we got here "is failure to communicate". Just ask Captain Strother Martin.
  10. Pissing off the neighbors since 1946. HAH just wait until I get home, Lewis, and crank my studio Jubilee's in your direction.
  11. Started on the mid lenses for my La Scala I builds (2 pairs). I am using 1/8" HDF to form the K-400 mid lenses. Created computer "bent" interlocking forms then "unbent" them to make my notched patterns. HDF was easy to work with and was very similar to the formed plastic thickness of newer lenses. Using info from PWK's 1963 builds and help from forum regulars on dimensions. I am adding bracing/stiffeners to the lenses and the cabinets to upgrade from the 1963 build issues. Planning on testing soon at the Herrick Sound labs at Purdue to see where my build skills put these. A work in progress, updated coming.
  12. As an Army Veteran, weapons enthusiast and father, this could only be described as a tragic nightmare. Never to be forgotten and destitute to be repeated forever. @Coytee keep a very close eye on your friend.
  13. For a 65 year old I take 1 Glucosamine chondroitin and 1 multi vitamin every day. Do medical gummies count ?
  14. Maybe for future repairs. Break-Over Wrenches | Mountz (mountztorque.com) Try a TBIH Break over Torque Wrench. You can never have enough tools.
  15. Brings back many memories. We drug our Coleman popup from Indiana to Maine (Acadia Nat. Park) and all through the Blue, Green, and White Mountains in Vermont. And upstate NY and PA which are absolutely gorgeous. Have fun.
  16. Dorset Naga. But rationed so I do not spontaneously burst into flames.
  17. For the curious, you might be surprised => Search for Superfund Sites Where You Live | Superfund | US EPA
  18. So true. I remember Top saying "Don't move or your arm(s) could get shredded from the multiple shots". Saw a lot of bloody arms from one of these shot clinics.
  19. Pfizer x2. mask and social distancing. The current sorry &$$ norm. Don't want to spike the ball at the 5 yard line.
  20. In a nut shell, yep. In one hand health and in the other wealth. Guess health is taking a back seat. I can now add Covid-19, Anthrax and Small Pox to the host of vaccines Uncle Sam has administered to my arms.

    Can’t sleep

Could be a combination of issues/solutions. I agree with @veloceleste about training though. 1) Working life with a routine alarms clock wake up is difficult to change. 2) Side affects of medications. Some meds release over time or are mild stimulants. 2) Bringing home work stress. Easy to say, tough to do => "Leave work at work". 3) Life stresses - there are many, most unavoidable. 4) Past it's prime mattress/box spring. 5) External light/noises. Hard to eliminate if you have to work 2nd or 3rd shifts. - Try going to bed later. - Try something that physically wears you out - for me it is swimming. - Steer clear of drugs/sleepers/and OTC remedies. - Agree with Pistachios. Something to put the brain back in park at night. They say as you get older you need less sleep. Maybe maybe-not.
  22. Boomers do remember. The only tv show that would pause parties so everyone could watch. Who can ever forget point/counterpoint "Jane you ignorant ****" from Dan Akyroyd. Would not fly today but tv was different back then.
