  1. What an advertisement for Dodge. Hellcat sales will be up.
  2. "What hump ?" Marty Feldman.
  3. NE is the team almost everyone loves to hate. But you have to respect that they are consistently dominant - offense and defense. League MVP's year after year after year. I think Robert Kraft loves building bigger trophy cases anyway. Well as for me - go Colts and anyone who plays NE.
  4. Liked DTEL's "after years of testing" and still posting. Way to go !! Sure laws are laws - some good and some should have never been enacted. Now some states have it right but still, here in Indiana, getting busted puts you right next to a murderer or Father raper (Arlo Guthrie hehe). While elected officials still believe smoking pot leads directly to shooting up Heroin and then a life of rampant crime. Well we know the real truth that this is simply not true. So, hopefully, Uncle Sam will get it right, regulate, tax, eliminate felony laws state wide and distribute in places, hate to say it, like Walmart.
  5. Looks nice, well done. Always a good thing to have more usable functional living areas - indoor and outdoor. And sadly it is a universal thing: That the assessor's office is usually right next to the permit's office.
  6. Not sure who originally said it but Ron White said it the best "You can't fix stupid". Rule out stupidity, ignorance, and a loose grasp of English. And keep in mind that speed limit signs are just a suggestion.....there would be nothing but perfect drivers.

    Veterans Day

"Freedom isn't free". It's a shame not everyone realizes this. As I hated my MOPP gear and embraced my M203, I say thanks.
  8. Minermark: Like the emergency booze stash, one problem solved. Now you need to fix the next problem "How to get the fish to jump into your boat". Let me know your progress one this one so I can implement.
  9. Hmmm...volunteers...Paul W Klipsch...hmmm...I can throw my hat into this.
  10. Ricktate: Do you have a solid plan ? It might be easiest to start with something existing (and modify/tweek) with the help of, say, Wounded Warrior or maybe National Veterans Winter Sports, Vail Veterans Programs. If you want to start from scratch I can help with some design work and prints and I have access to superb mig/tig welders. Still my 2¢ is to partner with a corporation, maybe even the VA, and get this done on their dime for Brian's benefit. I am also a Veteran so I will check where I work to see if there would be a "funding" slot for this type of program/endeavor.
  11. Weber: That looks eerily like a Twin Disc PTO. Is this a Marine project ?
  12. Dtel & Weber: The shape of the fireplace was for radiant heat reflection and it did fit into a corner as well. The sub frame is concrete blocks, the hearth is fire bricks, and the rest are face bricks all on the concrete slab/footer. Putting on the concrete cap and side "shelves" today for a fire tonight. Smores & shots. Woohoo CECAA850: I think I let the cat out of the bag years ago doing projects like this. Now the wife says we don't need a contractor "you can do it".
  13. Work, work, work. We all have them. We all work on them. My project, this time, is an outdoor fireplace. What are you working on ?
  14. Mallette that is an awesome picture and I am so jealous. I bet you can hear the crickets, when the Klipsch are between tracks, and nothing else. One more year and then I can trade the puke of city life for open solitude.

    Soooo....

Here's the deal, better hurry. It is a complicated mathematical formula but you can give it a try. (Trip to Hawaii for 2 weeks) + (New car) / 2017 (next year) * covers (something to protect the top of your speakers for candles or something fragrant that won't vibrate off) = What new speakers?

    Class Act

I agree with Babadono. Dogs can be trained...sadly owners cannot. You have to go through required training to drive a car but not to have kids or dogs. And the chart from WVU80 paints a pretty compelling picture. As for me and mine, we will take our Graduate Black Lab "Max" (puppy, intermediate, and advanced school). I did see, some time ago, a Chihuahua (guard dog trained) that could jump up and shred your ankles. Hehe.
  17. M107, Barrett 50 cal. Snipers rifle. Not shoulder fired - I'm not Rambo. Scope eye should be avoided at all costs here. Shoulder fired had to be the M72 LAWS Rocket Launcher 66mm projectile.

    Last Will

HMMM. A will is always a must have document !!! Whether you go through a lawyer or do it your self (legal zoom). SPELL out CLEARLY everything you want to take place and when. DO NOT HIDE the will, and place it in a very obvious accessible location. If you have pets allow for them as well in the will. Another form you might want is your prolonged health care - D.N.R. Do Not Resuscitate or perform life saving measures, sad but necessary. Decide before the need mandates. Appoint a Power of Attorney legally. Husband=Wife, Wife=Husband or whomever. Make sure your Beneficiary is also spelled out AND CURRENT in all financial and any land/trust holdings. If everything is spelled out it will not go to probate - meaning the State Judicial system decides what happens (BAD, something to avoid). I am by no means an expert just had to find out these things out the hard way. Congrats on the 40 something and avoiding the dirt nap.
  19. Sorry for your loss. When my Dad died it was a dark time for me. Seek, and accept, comfort from others - it helps.
  20. I have two right now. And am building two speakers, work in process, in my shop that can be classified as furniture. Bigger, with quality components, are always better. Of course the Wife's first question was "Why do you need speakers that big?" Just keeping Paul's mantra alive "Pissing off the neighbors since 1946".
  21. You know...times are peculiar. In an era of Downsizing, Outsourcing, and cost cutting - management (at least from my viewpoint) will trip over a five dollar bill to save a nickel. I am sill looking for that five dollar bill on the ground - which I would pick up.
  22. There will always be snooping, spying, hacking, stealing, web bots, and copious amounts of deceit. How else can foreign governments employ people who do not have real jobs. And Uncle Sam can read license plates, from satellites, CLEARLY. I have seen these images, and others on duty, overseas, personally with the military. So, I just try and stay ahead of the curve. Save, Save, Save, Encrypt, Encrypt, Encrypt. I just hope we keep the launch codes encrypted.
  23. Who needs sunglasses when you have a perennial shade tree.
  24. "Trust but verify" - who else, Ronald Reagan. And for BigStewMan "Whether you think you can or think you can't -- you're probably right" - Henry Ford is credited for this. And an all time favorite re-quote.. "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"- Jack Nicholson.
