  1. I don't have pics yet. They are uncovering them in the garage. I live in Indiana. I've been texting with them quite a bit and as soon as I have pics I'll post them. Like ricktate said though, no matter how much I've put into my aquarium they don't tend to bring a lot of cash. It's hard to sell something that goes in a house and weighs 1700 pounds.
  2. Well like others said its all about what someone is willing to pay. I've probably got $3000 in it but I know I'd be lucky to get $500 or $600 out of it. Those speakers are large but not nearly as bihttps://www.troopmasterweb.com/troop39muncie g and heavy as this tank. I would most likely sell them. I think trading for stuff is fun anyway. I'm waiting on pictures from them. I'll post them when I get them.
  3. I have a chance to trade my large aquarium for a set of 1 owner 1980 La Scala's. I'm told they're in great shape and have never been modified. They said they haven't used them in 15 years. I believe they're in the raw finish.
  4. Ok guys I have a chance for a second set of 3.5s. Right now I have kg5.5s in front,3.5s as surrounds and I'm moving my .5s to front heights. The set I found needs to be refinished on the exterior but all of the drivers and grills look great. I'm thinking of making a new motor board and putting the horn horizontally in the middle and a woofer on either side. Kind of like a giant academy center. I realize that my impedance will change but my AVR is stable to 4 ohms so no problems there. Thoughts? Has anyone done something similar? So in the end I'm taking two 3.5s and using the parts to make one center channel. With some left overs of course.
  5. As of now I got the 3.5s and put them in as surrounds. What a difference from the .5s after running audyssey again there's lots of bass now in the surrounds. So I'm still using the kv1 for a center. It just can't keep up with the 5.5s in front. I'm still trying to figure out a new center. I thought about a 2.5 but like japosey said it wouldn't have the same tweeters. Any thoughts?
  6. Beeker I agreeing the KGs I bought these 5.5s new when I was in the service and man have these rocked some parties over the years and still sound great today. I doubt I will ever get rid of them. I don't see any reason to. I am right now using the KV 1 I bought then as well
  7. I have a chance to buy a set of kg3.5s from the original owner for a great price. I thought about using one of them as a center channel to go with my kg5.5s. For now I use kg .5s as surrounds. I plan to upgrade to 2.5s for surrounds in the near future. What do you think?
  8. Matthews. If you want another one soon I have one that I bought in 95' and it's perfect. I'm looking to upgrade to a kv3 or a kg2.5 any as soon as I find the right deal. If you're interested I'll make you a fair deal.

    center channel

I too am running 5.5s for my fronts with a kv1 as a center and .5s as surrounds. I was thinking of upgrading to a kv3 for a center. Do you think the 2.5 would be better? Sorry I don't mean to high jack the thread.
  10. Guardians of the Galaxy for me. Watched it with my son and was pleasantly surprised. Good movie some good audio.
  11. Hello all. This is my first post. I have a HT system and I'm looking to upgrade my center channel. I have KG 5.5s in front KG .5s as surrounds a massive home built sub and a KV1 center. I bought all this gear new in 1995 and have always loved it. I'm looking at buying a KV 3 to replace my KV 1. Do you think it's worth it? Also later I plan to replace the .5s to 2.5s later and move the .5s to the 7.1 position. I would love to hear your thoughts about this. Oh if it matters I'm using a newer denon AVR.
