how is everyone doing. its been a long time my appendix condition took a good part of 5 years to fix...10 days with ruptured appendix...all medical closed due to the flood..I thought I was going to die and so did everyone around me. hospital was amazed I was alive....but most of the organs on the right side of my body had fused due to septic stuff. today almost symptom free...but it was a long journey. pretty much all flood repairs done...foundation dropped alomst a foot and I had to learn foam injection to lift it back up again. 2 log splitter pump motors and 15K in foam later and house was fixed. insurance paid 800 bucks on an estimated 80K repair...cost me about 17K all in all. be harley is gone..gave it to my brother..he traded it for a victory I have a VMAX1700 daily driver. 4 cly 200HP..basically a racing bike. recently bought a 2019 f-450 to tow an RV and do some traveling...then this covid thing hit. I have some parts to build some Belles...looking for some k-500's. porbally be the last set of speakers I build. I have a nice tube amp on the shelf waiting for speakers. man cave never got done.. lost has happened since 2012 you name it...been there dont see the names I used to see from back 2005 or so...hope all is well. been on a lot of forums here and there about different interest....but this place always feels like home. be well "speakerfritz"

wow...those look like a pair of LaScalas I bought raw in 2007, then drove them to IL to trade for some metal trim splits. before I got home, the person I traded with had refinished and they looked spectacular and he had them on ebay.

have been accumulating the parts for some DIY Belles in bambo butcher block with cane grills. still need the elusive k-500's. how about letting those k-500's you have on the shelf collecting dust go to a good cuase. PM me if you have a set. would like to get this done before the covid boogy man gets me. the wife wont know what to do with all these parts and wood.

Well got a reply and there is a sale pending. got the bug while checking the specs so I’m ordering drivers this morning. Going on vacation and have to get this out of the way. good luck to who ever got these....gear drivers and cross overs and a super great price. moving on humbly

looking for a set of k-500 horns. will be starting soon on some DIY Belles and this is the last item I need. If I dont find a set, I have a few close but not exact horns that I could use...but would like to find a set of k-500's. PM me if you have some and price.

I have a WTB listing for a pair of k-500's in the garage sale area and have been checking ebay on occasion. I did get an email from someone who provided a referral of someone who had a single. if you have any leads on 1, would appreciate an email. I have some nice wood, woofers, tweets, drivers, various belle xovers, all ready and all I need are the horns. hoping theres a pair collecting dust which were left over from a metal to wood horn conversion project or from a k-500 to 511b project. thanks

I had a set of 60's. I think I bought them new from klipsch and certainly did not pay 15K for them. I had to sell them because they (to my surprise) were made of MDF and the chemical's in the MDF aggravated the asthma for 2 family members. theres a lot of tech in these speakers that most forum members are nah-sayers about. the wires used for the internal speaker runs are high end audiophile cables. all connecters are platinum coated . the caps are high end. prior to the 60's I had a pair of actual wood core khorns with ALK extreme slopes....was more impressed with the sound of the older speakers with the mods than the 60's. becareful with MDF khorns..they absorb water and swell.

During a time when folks were upgrading to 511’s to get the alk eng sound to go with the extreme slope crossovers. I seen a few auctions on eBay and a few for sale here on the forum in the 75 each range. with all the boutique horns now avail for the heritage speakers any more than that would make the boutique offerings more attractive.
