  1. Scary times for those carrying some debt - such as myself unfortunately. Glad I locked my mortgage in for five last year.
  2. Well it is a Klipsch forum, although many are audiophiles in temperament and listen to other designs. I am a fan of the Klipsch sound - just not for where I currently reside. My Ohms work better in the condo in which I currently reside. Once I retire and move Fortes or Cornwall are the goal.
  3. I have never heard any of the Wilson line in person. Very curious though.
  4. I have been using a pair of the Meze 99 Classic for a couple years.Very nice and one of the best in the sub 500 market. They punch well above their weight. The nicest headphones I've ever owned.
  5. Cindy snapped this as he was almost in front of us. A aboriginal lady beside us had a sweet Husky puppy (who's paw His Majesty shook - BIG dog lover). He then shook both my and my wife's hand as he and Camilla made their way back to the official car.
  6. The end of an era, may G-d rest her soul. G-d save the King! I shook his Majesty King Charles III hand this past May when he and the now Queen Consort were in Yellowknife.
  7. I hope you bounce back quickly.

    Rituals

Do they still sell the static guns? That was also part of the vinyl "tea ceremony".
  9. My last hearing test surprised both myself and my doctor - so far so good. My hearing was far better than the average for my age. Hopefully things stay the same for as long as possible.
  10. As we have seen in another thread, you can fix this. Fortunately the scratches are very minor. I'm glad they gave you discount and hope that it was deemed worth it to you, now you have a pair and are good to go!
  11. I can't see selling them. Just too nice and useful.
  12. When I bought stands about ten years ago I was thinking the same thing. My wife suggested coins - we had umpteen Scotch tubes that had become repositories for pennies over the years. Just poured them in and they have been there until this day; very heavy, solid and of course no leaking.
  13. Hugely popular in the UK and Canada when I was a boy.
  14. Interesting thread and some nice photos. I used to hack around when I was young and have recently been giving serious consideration to picking up a used Telecaster - have always had a thing for them. My new position is nowhere as stressful and time consuming as the work I had been doing. More time and being older may be the right combination for me to buckle down and relearn properly.
  15. He was calm and focused, this is not a bad thing. We also don't know how many other times he has been robbed. We see all too frequently, hairballs shooting store clerks even after they have complied and handed over money. Scary situation.
  16. Imaging helps with stereo at home, I've never experienced it a show through a PA system. Pretty much a wall of sound.

    RIP James Caan

Another one of the legendary actors gone. Really enjoyed his work.
  18. The Forte IV are greatly improved and deliver most of what the new Cornwall does. Here is an interesting back to back comparison. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Cornwall+vs+Forte+IV&t=newext&atb=v247-1&iax=videos&ia=videos&iai=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DXPJevbwL9VU
  19. You aren't taking into account room footprint, which was part of the original metric. A Cornwall is considerably larger.
  20. Most bang for the buck taking footprint into account would be the new Fortes.
  21. I see, they are a rare mutation. Be worthwhile to get a photo of one.
  22. Ive never heard of a yellow cardinal.
  23. This is a loss. Now we are losing guys my age.
