    Roon

Has anybody here experienced Roon yet? I find it very complex to figure it out. There’s so many things to it. Does any one here use it? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. http://www.audioquest.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Phase-Noise-Jitter-Report-0317-14.pdf Not a bad article. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. I’ve heard the Sonus Farber before in a 2ch set up powered by a Macintosh in a treated room and I was very impressed. Made the huge B&W sound like shit! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. I use tidal and I hear a very big difference between the other streaming apps. Other apps sound very muddy through the whole spectrum. I also listen to there Masters and notice very little over the regular hi res but I do notice it. I like listening in pure direct. Also, there library is tiny and there curators are the worse, IMO. 5. Your son a big music fan too? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. I love acoustic music too. I really like listening passenger’s acoustic sessions. Niall horan new acoustic version of “Too much to ask”is good. Also, Ed Sheeran’s are good too. Sam Smith new cd has some good songs too. Just throwing them out there. Not sure if that’s for your taste. I find them very pleasing on my humble 280’s[emoji6] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Wow, that’s sucks. I use Tidal as my main streamer. What now?🤧 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Wow indeed! What we eye opener! I’m one of those going for the hype [emoji30] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  11. I’m jealous! Beautiful speakers. Enjoy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. I will definitely share my experience that I think will be very pleasing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. I was running an optical cable with adapter to laptop. To receiver. This allowed the laptop to be bypassed with the settings on the Tidal app. I was getting 96khz on the mastered music. It does sound fuller in my opinion and cleaner. But even then it was limited. I need an MAQ DAC which will unfold the whole file. So thanks to willland, I’m most likely gonna get the Red dragonfly. 14. I’ve been known about this but had forgotten. I just looked it up and they’ve updated the dragon dac with MQA which is what Tidal uses or promotes. Even better. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Yes, it’s good to count on the forum members. Like the audio family[emoji6]. I’m using my A1050 receiver right now and I’m happy with music In direct mode. At least for the music I listen too. I feel like and integrated amp will give me fuller sound. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  17. I thought the dragon was more like a headphone amp. How would I make that work. From usb to amp? I have seen the rca cables, I just don’t think they can convert or decode the sound from laptop. Unless I use the dragon first and then the rca to amp. I see. Is that what you were trying to say. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. I stream music from a Mac. Tidal masters is only available through desktop or laptop. How can I use analog with a laptop? Any suggestions. Right now I’m using an optical cable with adapter from Mac to receiver. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. This should be enough to power the 280’s right. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. I think my be going for the Yamaha a s701. Something cheaper for now. I have the a s200 and it’s surprisingly good,I use it for work. Not for home use. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Go on my friend [emoji6]. I’m going to have to pass on this great deal. Exceeds my budget [emoji30]. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. I’m looking for an integrated amp with a built in dac. Not a power amp. So I can use it with optical from laptop and stream lossless audio. That amp sounds nice though. How much you asking, if you don’t mind the question.
  23. Rp280’s 13x20 $400-$800 Used or new , don’t matter Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. I’m looking to buy a nice integrated amp. For 2ch music listening. I’ll be using Tidal as the Main streaming amp and a CD player. So optical would be nice for my lossless streaming. Any recommendations will be appreciated. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
