"FBI director warns of Russian interference and white supremacist violence"... an article in the NYT which was reprinted in the Seattle imes. (NY has a pay wall).
I copied and pasted the words in quotes, taken directly from the article, into the Fox News website's 'Search" engine (you know, the ones with the magnifying glass) and came up with exactly no articles on Fox. Surprised? Some are not.
My only reason to post this is to implore, again, that folks don't rely on just one source of info. No matter how much confirmation bias it gives you.

But what about the caravans!? Enquiring minds want to know...
A Chinese virologist claimed the coronavirus was 'intentionally' released. Turns out, she works for a group led by Steve Bannon.
Turns out the link to 'the facts' on fox was from this.

Sadly this national story is from my own neighborhood. IThe Post is behind a pay wall. This is a similar article you can access. And it isn't the only other version for those who are cnn averse.

My company had a job on the 76th floor of (what was then called the Columbia Tower) in Seattle when we got the word to evacuate. That's a lot of stairs. There was worry that the building would be a target, also, as the tallest on the west coast. I was scared.
Thank you first responders and God bless all.

The scammers are getting lazy when they call you with a recorded message that they’re from your credit card company and there was a big purchase on your account at 5 am. Press 1 to get through to their Customer Service desk. No mention of which bank issued your card, or even your name.
They’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to targeted victims. I guess nearly everyone is wise to them by now. Even so, we get a sad story on the evening news about once a month about someone who was taken for thousands. The request for payment in Bitcoin or gift cards should be a dead giveaway, but apparently not in every case.
I don't know about the rest of you older folks, but when my wife turned 70, (she's older than I am) our home phone (yes, we're that old) lit up like never before with scam calls. I mean by the hundreds over a 5 year perod. I had to raise my voice over it a couple times. My wife is the most trusting human I've ever known. But she is wise, or rather. skeptical enough to tell them to cram it now. Scammers work on the aged at a fast clip. We've been told the police are on their way(!!) due to an overdue bill. That our power bill is overdue and we're to be shut down.... by a power company whose name does not even exist. The ever obiquitous 'pc security issue.' Over and over. And the only reason it doesn't end is because it is lucrative. An amazingly never ending assault. We get at least 3 of these a week. In a slow week.

Yes we watched B&W TV for a long time, the TV was a small odd shaped tube in a good sized cabinet. You had a choice of 3 channels and PBS, and at midnight the test pattern would come on with the Indian.
I remember listening to boxing on the radio with my dad when I was little.
Me too with my dad. Then Jimmy Lennon and the 'Friday Night Fights' on the tube.

We got our first TV, RCA, in 1952; I was four. In Cincinnati, I grew up with Uncle Al, String Bean, and Ruth Lyons. We got our first color TV, Heathkit, in 1962.
I don't remember the year our family got our first color tv. But I do remember watching 'The Wizard Of Oz' many, many times before I realized there was color in the Oz scenes!

That reminded me of the tv series Sky King, but the planes he flew were Cessnas... first a T-50 Bobcat, then a 310B for the remainder of the series. I loved that show when growing up.
"Out of The Western Sky comes... Sky King!" What a great memory, Thanks Marvel.
Man that was a looong time ago. It had to have been. I was a kid then. I actually surprised myself by remembering that lead-in.

Yes they ruined one of the best surf spots ever by building that stupid marina. The shot I posted is Killer Dana and people still occasionally surf there but Doheny only breaks on a direct south swell now. We ride our bikes to Killer Dana and Beach Road daily except when we head down to the Pier Bowl in San Clemente or T Street to get some body wamping in.
Surfs up Daddy-O
Yeah, money trumps.... well... everything else I guess. Yacht owners vs surfers. At least you still have to work a little to get down to Black's. My favorite. And not because it has a nude beach!

That is a pic in Dana Point, Ca. Standing, to the left of the benches, I'd say.
Ah Dana Point... I remember you well. One of the very best waves destroyed by progress. It is a nice marina now, I guess.

I am completely baffled and confused by this thread, and claims we do not share musical tastes.
It's all about the music.
I do love the way Klipsch reproduces my tunes but, to me, it is all about the music. I was very happy, iirc, when I heard Motown on my transistor radio. And the 3 nightly hours Ronnie McCoy would play album cuts on KNAC back in the '70's on my mom's table radio. The music.
