  1. Is this done correctly? https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1066554/Onkyo-Tx-8020.html?page=12#manual Am I reading the manual right? The speaker selector on "A" will activate the sub but "B" won't?
  2. It's fairly important to understand what ricktate is trying to convey. The jumpers are usually flat pieces of metal (or a short pair of wire) that 'connect' the posts in back where you connect your speaker wire. You may have 4 posts. An 'upper' and 'lower' set. These sets are connected to each other by jumpers. So you can connect your (1) speaker wire to the posts, on the speaker, whether it is a banana plug or a bare wire etc., and both the upper end driver and lower end drivers will all be connected. This is a simple look see and tighten. The red and black knobs that you put your banana plug or bare ended wire into is what you tighten. I have had to do it when I experienced symptoms that you describe. The jumpers seemed tightly connected but were not. It may have nothing to do with your problem, however, IF those jumpers, or even one of them is loose, you will not hear any upper end from that speaker. Or I suppose no lower end depending on which set of posts you have plugged your speaker wire into. That alone in many cases can lead to a very 'muffled' sound. Again, it may not apply as you have a very large system overall... but it is a good point to know.

Does it count if I cheated? Now I will watch the show. I succumbed to my wife and got Starz for that dang Outlander. Women. And happy lives. " American Gods"?

Looks like a super psychedelic Death Star.
  7. I do wish I had an umbilical like that!
  8. Oh no. Was that dress white and gold or... ? https://theness.com/neurologicablog/index.php/what-color-is-this-dress-its-an-optical-illusion/ I see gold and white. I hear the naughty.
  9. And... It's seriously the only word in our language that would fit like a glove there. C'mon Justice, let's be fair.
  10. Swears up and down it was an audio 'glitch". LOL
  11. Dodson! Dodson! We've got Dodson here! (sorry, had to) So many unknowns. Almost anything can happen before the release or spread. As BigStewMan summised, that is a possibility. It happens before we even know there is an issue in some instances. And I also cannot get behind much of anything said by this admin. Too many verifiable lies and obfuscations. Some day they may actually be correct about something and all I'll hear is "Wolf!" I never was that way. I always stayed open to other people and their thinkings. I feel as though I am slowly 'closing' that thought process. I still fight against it.
  12. A friend, Woofers? My sympathies.
  13. I do remember Sambo's. We used to get some salad dressing, I think(?), to bring home when I was very young. Then my mom would use the glass jar for my milk 'carton.' She would take me to our little Catholic school where my 3 sisters went. She was a lunch monitor and I got to sit with the 'big kids'. All very exciting.
  14. Out of one of my favorite Steppenwolf tunes. My poster is really missing it's blacklight. Sad.
  15. That's basically the same way I 'learned'.
  16. I just now ordered that vinyl. Can't wait to hear it all. After he kicked butt at the Blues Awards Show.

I swear sometimes I see this when I close my eyes!
  19. Excuse me. NOT DEATHS as I had said but confirmed cases. I do not know if this will correlate to more deaths, as those numbers are declining over the last days. But following the past curve where deaths went up in relation to confirmed cases, this is not a very good sign.
  20. I found this interesting on the State model predictions. Something I had not read before about how the criteria used makes a big difference in end numbers. The MIT graph is more in line with the most recent data graph released by Wa state Dept of Health. The last 7 days have seen an uptick in deaths more in line with MIT than UW's.
  21. It is on NPR's news site, billybob. https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2020/05/02/849149873/gilead-lobbying-rose-as-interest-in-covid-19-treatment-climbed
  22. Gilead Lobbying Rose As Interest In COVID-19 Treatment Climbed We are constantly being told to "follow the money" here on his thread so I found it intersting to read this. I know some poo poo any and all sources that don't fall into the confirmation bias that we all have, one way or another, but the more you know, the better your choices. It's on the NPR newsite. The graph is remarkable. That said, I hope this works in any capacity to alleviate suffering.
  23. That's actually kinda funny. I wonder if he thought of it himself.
