  1. I'm going to assume this post was made BEFORE my warning above. Same time. I'm going to exit the thread. It isn't interesting anymore anyway.
  2. You made it about you when you decided to thread crap. I'd really like to keep the thread on topic and thus, I'll ask you again, do you have anything satirical to contribute? I'm genuinely interested.
  3. I think you made this about you. I still haven't seen any satire from you, which I'd love to see. I'm sure you've got something I can laugh about.
  4. Back to our topic. Because when imitations simply will not suffice:
  5. Why do you need to convince the mods? Seems as though you've successfully hijacked the thread.
  6. Doubtful. Are there any organizations you belong to or are affiliated with where the management staff (president) deserves your satirical gaze? Nobody ever said this thread was strictly about what you are assuming it's about. I've been trying to find the appropriate satire to describe a situation I recently encountered with a well know organizations leadership.
  7. Do have any satire you'd like to share in the thread about satire?
  8. Then this is not the thread for you. Just at threads about tubes are not for me.
  9. Nothing to be positive about it (you can PM me and try to convince me differently, and we can have a great back and forth). Which is exactly why satire is a great substitute. But, I was skeptical also, until the clarification that it was meant to be in a satirical form. Just go with it. And regard it as a mature way to express what everyone would like to express about our current situation. Be creative. Trust me, if I thought it was out of line, I wouldn't have contributed in any way.
  10. Because of the clowns, because of the circus, and because they abused all their animals equally including the elephants and donkeys, these guys:
  11. Satire is a useful exercise for the mind. At this point in time I think we require the skills of a demolition expert. Osama Bin Laden.
  12. I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum, mods please move if it isn't. I have a friend who has come to me for advice on a system for her home. She's looking for in-ceiling speakers (4 for inside, 2 for outside mounted in her patio cover). But also wants it to integrate it for a 'smart home.' Here is what she sent to me: "Have no idea on budget and don't know what to spend for speakers, receiver/controller....something that allows "smart home" central control for the music/tv/future smart home add ons, and a new tv that is wifi ready." I can recommend the speakers - that's easy. But beyond that what do you use to control or power it all with? Are multiple receivers needed for 6 speakers and what about a central source such as a Sonos or something similar or better? It sounds like she is wanting complete integration and future proof technology, but I'm sure she will want to keep it simple. She's a young mid-60's woman so complicated technology isn't her strength. Any advice or experience you can pass along will be greatly appreciated!
  13. I hope the purchase price wasn't based on an authenticity claim.
  14. He purchased them first, and now he wants to know if they are authentic? In the case of the Khorns, no. I do not believe they are.
  15. Congratulations on your decision. Let us know what you think of them after you've listened to them for a while.
  16. If you can afford them and you want them. Get them. There is no right or wrong decision, it's just your decision. If you like the Klipsch sound, you'll like the Palladiums - they just have a smoother mid and treble horn than you would find in their other lines. Especially if you can calibrate them using software, they will work for your space. I will say this though, with your preference for music, I can't think of a better Klipsch model than the Palladiums for reproducing it.
  17. I see you use something to get on the internet...smoke signals not working???...time marches on... Bill I know, I got me one of them thar fancy, smancy flip phones and a portable Walkman cd player with ear buds and everything. Do they make turntables that can hang off your belt?
  18. The concerts I go to, I can't notice or even hear any of those things. Heck, when the concert is over I can't even hear.
  19. Palladium prices on the Klipsch site are still full retail. Perhaps the dealer on Amazon is simply trying to move some overstock?
  20. You mean like scratching a piece of plastic with a needle? And all this time I thought I had to go to a concert to hear real music.
  21. The singles are. Am I mistaken that the Jubilee isn't a production speaker? I've never seen them for sale on the Klipsch website.
  22. Arguably a better alternative. How much for high end player for a high end system? How much for the record collection? How much for the rack/cabinet to store them? I imagine I can get 10 years (conservatively speaking)or so of digital play time before I realize comparative loss. But then, that isn't taking into account that I have more selection coming out every month that I don't have to physically buy and store - the bad songs with the good songs being inseparable. In essence, the cost is lower to 'not own' the physical copies. I suppose there are disadvantages to either preference. Being preferences and all.
