MKP'S BOSS

We bought our house from my parents back in 1998. the 'family' house. my parents are now in their 80's with mobility problems. every holiday, and their birthdays, EVERYONE comes to our house for dinner, etc. i come from a family of 8, down to 6 - all local. the count is usually around 19, unless friends come or someone brings someone and then it climbs. not a small affair, with all the family poo poo and the poo poo that comes with all their kids. we encourage our friends to come and laugh at the familial politics. lol. without fail, the last people at our house are my very religious sister and her two kids (joseph 18 and grace 12). that is my favorite time. religion goes right out the window...lol like old times with my goofy sister. the stereo goes on and the ipods come out. joseph is a musician - plays base in a band. we spend hours listening to music, sharing music. it is awesome. they love uncle mark's system. other than that, we have nothing in common. but the love of good music on a good system is all we need..... NOW i am looking forward to christmas. maybe this will help SCROOGE...aka MKP :-) look forward to the chaos as well....

GETTIN' SILLY!!

Several years ago we went to harbor freight (cheap tool store) for shop stuff. We bought cheap headlights, gave them to the grandkids for Christmas. Later that night we strapped them to their heads and turned all the lights out. Absolutely hysterical. All we saw were erratic light beams and all we heard was laughter and screaming. Best $5 we ever spent. Lol

facebook is what you make it. age group and maturity feed directly into it. younger folks may obsess, judge, feel judged - directly affects self esteem more mature people can keep up with family and friends. and, of course, there are always the crazies that come in all ages -- relatives, neighbors, everywhere i have reasonable contacts (aka family members) and slightly crazy ones (aka family members). i can turn off 'notifications' and filter out the CRAP i don't want to see. i like some of the jokes and motivational things, and i save the best video clips for lunchtime with MKP:-) https://www.facebook.com/CampfireStories/photos/a.263532007016521.57807.139496192753437/693791253990592/?type=3 i do like the connection (most of the time)

in my experience, you pay for ambiance these days. fast food ($), you expect none. mid range ($$) - don't expect it. even a high end steak house has 'issues' today. it is more and more difficult to go out for a nice evening without 'issues.' if we want a really nice evening meal with friends, we usually stay home and grill. now - going out for the show - that's priceless. lol

As the saying goes...there is a lid for every pot. Romance is not dead! When each mate puts the other one first, it works. Some of us learn from our mistakes, and the second time around is much better. All she needs is you, my man. Congrats and enjoy!

he went from long to gone.... complete shock he was sooo happy to look like a "boy!" we live in a rural area with many closed minds. the kids in pre-k would make fun of him. we tried to convince him that it was awesome -- like tarzan. but he secretly convinced his mother. and shocked the shitt out of us. MKP was DEVASTATED... look at his sister's devilish delight.....
