  1. I think I like the sound of rice vs sand, just wondering if it would be heavy enough to keep the speakers steady enough because they also sit on carpet
  2. Hey guys, I apologize for any confusion but here is a picture of my stand to help everyone understand better
  3. Hello all, I have quartet speakers on speaker stands that I've purchased. Curious as to what material would be best to fill them with? I bought these overseas but are similar to what is currently being sold at deer creek. Just trying to get ideas on what you guys that have stands that are fillable use
  4. You can get a pair of refurbished klipsch b-200 directly from klipsch fo $119 but supplies are limited
  5. I like this idea, will do this to my quartets (only cause I'm clumsy).
  6. I have a set of klipsch quartets that I'm thinking of having professionally veneered. Wondering what I should expect a professional job would cost. I know it depends on the wood used but just trying to get an idea of what range I'd be looking at. I'm out here in the vegas area if that matters at all.
  7. I also liking the marantz pairing if I could'nt go tubes
  8. There's a pretty good review about this unit on youtube by a guy named Andrew Robinson.
  9. Ok guys I have a pair of quartets hooked up to my marantz nr1506 wirelessly. Problem is I want to hard wire it to a second modem/router type device. What would be the best secondary device I can buy to accomplish this? My modem/router in the living room is already hardwired to the tv & other devices & I need something where I can do the same in my spare bedroom. Any ideas? Not looking to spend a fortune on this, maybe $100 to $150 at the most.
  10. Has anyone tried these tweeter upgrades in the Klipsch quartets? If so please tell me your impressions.
  11. I love listening to jazz vocalist such as Nancy Wilson
  12. Well after further research it seems that I should be looking at real wood veneer. After watching some youtube videos I think it would be best for me with my limited space & clumsiness to go the professional route. Don't want to risk damaging my quartets. What I will do is check around locally to see if I can find a veneer I like. Thanks guys for your replies.

  14. For those of you who have applied veneer to your speakers, what should I be looking for as far as quality & type. Looking to redo my quartets sometime in the near future.
  15. If you have any vintage stereo shops in your area, that may also be a good source for what you're looking for. Found a single Klipsch quartet to go along with my pair at the local vintage shop here in Vegas. Don't know if he still has them but saw a pair of heresy there too.
  16. Maybe etsy.com. There are several who can may on there that sell tilt back speaker stands. Hope this helps
