  1. I can get the mic up at 1m for measurements and also at listening position tomorrow. I can tell you that it can hit sub 20hz and make the windows flex in my large living room. Ill post results tomorrow for you. I've used it with La Scala and Belles and it blends nicely.
  2. Rocklin, CA. I'll get dimensions later today. What type of measurements would you like I have REW and a good mic. Box measures 43"x18"x18"
  3. Correct that's why I mentioned the Volti horn in listing. My bad on not clarifying. Thanks for the help!
  4. Yes it is the 2" horn with a reducer adapter for the a-55-g (didn't know he made another one) my apologies. I have the 2" driver mounting board
  5. "Wrong one" how? It's a Crites CT120 purchased directly from the man....
  6. 2mb upload limit prevents me from posting the other tag. Feel free to PM for more photos.
  7. Tweet is securely in position. It may be the camera angle. The tweeters are securely mounted to the Volti provided adapter and then mounted to the horn proper. It is a 2" adapter (I have the mounting kit for a 2" driver. Tags incoming (they are sequential)
  8. The wife is tired of my insanity. My Belles are up for sale and so is my DIY subwoofer and amp. The amp is about 3 months old (Crown XLS2002) and the subwoofer box is about the same. The two Dayton HF15 drivers are about a year old. It all works swimmingly and will melt your eyeballs and earholes. I'm asking $500 for everything. The crown amp is $500 new, the drivers are $172 a piece new. If you just want the drivers and the amp I can ditch the box. I'm in Northern CA. Would prefer local pickup but am willing to discuss shipping.
  9. Up for sale are my lovely Belle Klipschs. I have upgraded (altered) (modified) them with the Volti wooden mid horn, Crites CT120 tweeter, Crites A-55-G mid driver, and Crites xover. Sadly my new home (and wife) can't accommodate these beauties so it's time to sell. The Belles sound great stock but it is THE best speaker I've heard (to my aging ears) with the updates (yes including Klipschorn, I us a sub so sue me) Cabs are an 8/10 with very small nicks and one small dent (in pics). They look and sound phenomenal. I live in Northen CA and am willing to travel a moderate distance to meet a buyer. No shipping. I'm asking $3,000 obo. I know most stock Belles go from anywhere from 2k-3k and I guess you will have to decide if the upgrades are worth it or if you are looking for bone cold stock then these probably aren't your babies.
  10. I moved to a McIntosh MC275 VI with my Belles (same as la scala) and they are quiet, clean, mucial, tight. The right music at the right volume brings tears to my eyes.
  11. I have belles i have been contemplating selling. Ill get in touch
  12. Could the 18'x15"x6foot be laid down behind a couch against a wall? And either fire into the wall or up the wall?
  13. Congrats. Someone got a smoking deal
  14. What is the 3rd dimension? The sub i found on the fitzmeyer website is loooong....Im limited by my cubbies to 40" tall...
  15. problem is space. Horn loaded subs are too big for the area that I have to use them in....
  16. So I have a combo living, dining, kitchen, open complex "listening room" that is approximately 10,000 cubic feet with several hallways and large windows. Currently am using a custom dual 15" sub powered by crown amp up front and center, with a small monoprice 12" cheapo sub behind the couch for the impact feel during movies. The Belle Klipsches are taking up too much space in the cubbies. Not the best setup but whatever I'm all about the journey. Anyways I am looking to get new AVR with dual sub eq (Marantz SR7012) current is SR6007 and its starting to die. I am looking at swapping out my most of my gear and am thinking Forte III for front speaker duties which allows me to put a subwoofer in either cubbie next to the speakers. I'd like to keep each subwoofer at under $1,000 and the other contraint is a cab that is less than 24" deep with grill on. I've done DIY subwoofers and not interested in doing that anymore so I have narrowed it down to the following... Monoprice Monolith 12" - $799 HSU VTF-3 MK5 HP - $799 Outlaw Ultra-x12 - $659 I HAVE to feel the bass in movies and music. Currently when I play the opening scene from Edge of Tomorrow I can feel the pressure change in the room and hear the large windows in the room flex (which is good) but I'm lacking the chest thump for music and gunshots in movies. Will I be able to achieve this in a 10,000 cubic foot room with only the two of the subwoofers listed??? Placing is limited to being next to the mains in the cubby... Thoughts? Opinions? Looking for sub "experts" that might be able to shed some light on things. I've tried REW and minidsp but I'm to impatient and stupid to get it to work right so no go on that. Looking for a simple solution of someone elses hard work developing a good sub that I can use :)
  17. I have one running to my Belle Klipsch and the sound is nothing short of sonic bliss. This is a great price for a great amp. If I had the funds I would be picking it up for dual mono duty... GLWYS
  18. I have a DIY custom sub I use to fill the bass when needed. I find certain music i dont like/need the sub but for most music I do.
  19. Ive been wanting to hear the F3. I have Belles but the space would be better used with F3 if the sound was close or superior. Anyone in Northern CA area or within 8 hours drive Id love to audition...
