  1. I bought them today so I'll keep you updated on what I think after hearing them.
  2. Great looking speakers but priced high. Nice guys. They bought a pair of Fortes from me a couple of years ago that they were going to strip down and re-veneer.
  3. I have a pair of Heresy IIs but I have a chance to get a pair of RF82 ii towers at a good price. If I own both, which one do members think would be better? Which to keep and which to sell? I'm running a 250w Sunfire powered sub to help the low end on the Heresys. Thoughts?
  4. Is there a way to check membership status? I known I've been a member but I can't recall when the renewal is due and/or if mine has expired.
  5. You can't look at auction prices until just a few minutes before it ends to get any idea of what they're selling for. I buy a lot from the Goodwill onsite site, but if it's a popular item that people recognize the bidding will get crazy and I've seen a few items get so high that people are bidding more than what they would buy it for new! So buyer beware and be cautious when bidding.
  6. FOR SALE: Klipsch RB25s WITH STANDS: $150 Offering here to this group before I post it anywhere else. I've been using a pair of RB 25s with a subwoofer in my master BR. I found some stands to get them to a good listening height. I unexpectedly found a pair of Heresy IIs at an estate sales that were in immaculate condition. I don't have room for both so the RB 25s need a new home. Heresy IIs to RB 25s isn't even a comparison, so I now have a pair of RB 25s for sale. The condition is almost perfect. I would rate the cabinet a 9/10. Stands are included. Drivers are great and sound is great. Stands included which sell for $30-$40 on their own. Located in Ft Worth, TX. I would consider shipping, but the shipping cost on these might be more than the cost of the speakers themselves.
  7. Considering what other Cormwalls have sold for, if your asking price is $1000 cash that's about right. I sold a pair of Cornwall IIs about 2 years ago that were newer and in better shape for $1300. Good luck to you.
  8. I have a single RF-62 REV IV that I picked up from an auction. I would like to get a 2nd one to match, OR sell the one I have to someone else looking for a single. I'm in the Dallas-Ft Worth area and could drive within a reasonable distance to meet someone.
  9. I sold 2 pairs of Fortes in the last year - one pair I sold for $600 and the other for $650. Not sure what the market is in GA, but that price might be a bit high to get much response.
  10. I'm not planning on bringing anything unless someone specifically asks. I went to a lot of effort the past couple of years and it was basically for nothing. The expense to bring everything was more money than what I ended up selling anything for. If you want something, send me a PM and I'll tell you what I have.
  11. This is the last chance if you want anything. I'm at my storage building right now loading up speakers for guys who have already made a request to bring something so if I haven't heard from you in the next 10 or 15 minutes I'm not going to bring it
  12. Simple question...how well will a K-44e woofer work in a Cornwall II? I have a chance to pick up some Cornwall IIs that have a woofer that is going to need to be replaced. At the same time I ran across a pair of K-44e matching 15" that have just been reconed professionally. Would those work in the Cornwall II?
  13. We know that a brand new Pro ject table runs about $400. So in your opinion how does this table sound compared to it?
  14. I am in Fort Worth and I have several turntables but none of them are what I would call high-end. I would be very interested in listening to this turntable to see if buying a high end table really makes that much of a difference in performance over a mid-range table. I'm willing to spend the money to get it but I don't want to do it blind without hearing if it really makes that much of a difference.
  15. Glad you're still enjoying the receiver. It seems like the real problem you have is trying to find the time to go from one room to the next to listen to all of the great speakers you have.
  16. If anyone in the Dallas area wants to get something I'll bring it back from the Pilgrimage pending having room in my SUV.
  17. All depends on the price. What would you sell them for?
  18. I probably have about 20 more pairs of speakers that I can't even remember what they are. This list was from the top of my head. This is only a list of the ones that are ready to sell. I have a long list of speakers that need to be refoamed, about 6 turntables and maybe 20 AV receivers. I'll go out to my storage this weekend to organize and list the rest of what I have.
  19. I think you're taking my comments wrong - I'm not upset. Just amused at this point about how easy it is for 2 people to be saying the same thing and yet they are so different.
  20. I did tell you that I had a LOT of stuff....you said "that's fine, bring it all"
  21. I brought a LOT of stuff last year to sell because Christy told me "bring everything you have. It will easily sell"....well....lol...that didn't quite happen. I spent a ton of money bringing it all out there and only a very small number of items sold. So this year I'm bringing only what people tell me they want and what will fit in the back of my SUV. This is a PARTIAL list of what I have - I'll update it over the weekend when I have a chance to get out to my storage building and get a total inventory. If you are interested in something, send me a message and let's work out the details BEFORE I bring anything out. I do have pictures of almost everything, so if you want pics, send me a message.
