The KG5.5 has a port on the front and the KLF10 has a port on the back. Other than this, what's the difference between the two?

The KM6 is the identical speaker as the highly sought after KG5.5. It is a special limited edition made for and sold only to the military. (correct me if I'm wrong) The KM6 is more rare than the KG5.5 so take advantage of this chance to get a very unique and hard to find speaker.

I picked up a pair of KG3 signature edition with stands recently from an estate sale. I have them hooked up and I'm using them in my living room now. They sound great. I wanted to know if anyone could tell me something about these and what if anything made them special.
I have a pair of KG3.2s that visually seem identical and it would take me quite a while of listening to both to be able to determine a clear difference if any between them.

In most cases replacing the caps is all you need. A complete crossover upgrade is usually only essential when you're changing components, such as the diaphragms that need a different crossover point.

The "mumps" on the horn as you describe it is a patented design by Roy which allows the midrange to have lower extension before it "bottoms out" and becomes so distorted it's unusable. I talked to Roy at InfoComm specifically about what made this horn design different and he enlightened me as to the details behind it and what it did. Basically it allows the "bubble" of undistorted sound to reach further before breaking apart. This allows a much lower crossover point which puts more sound into the midrange horn than compared to previous designs.

In my opinion - not even close. I had a PAIR of Lascalas that had been refinished and were in excellent shape I tried to sell for over 6 months. I had them listed at first for $1600 (pair), then dropped to $1400 and finally I took them out to the Pilgrimage where everyone there expected me to give them away just for the joy of not having them any more. ONLY because I was beyond desperate for money to use for closing costs for a new house I let someone steal them from me for $1000 (for the PAIR!). I hated being forced into a corner to sell them so low and regretted ever taking them out to the Pilgrimage to sell. You can ASK whatever you want but I highly doubt that you're going to get anywhere close to $1500 each for them.

I have a couple of RECEIVERS with direct line inputs that act just like a passive amp if you use the direct inputs.

I have a chance to buy a pair of KI-115 subs. They look in really good shape. I can't use them personally because I already have a pair of subs and just don't have a place for these. I would buy them strictly for the purpose of reselling, so what's the value and is anyone interested in them?
I have to make a decision by the end of the day today. Factoring into the decision is about a 2 hour drive one-way to pick them up. What is the max that anyone would be willing to pay for a pair of these? I'm not even sure what they sell for new.
Your thoughts are appreciated.

First pic is actual item. 2nd and 3rd pics are stock photos. The cabinets were completely sanded and stripped down to the bare wood and refinished. They look almost like new.

The kg3.2's single 8-inch woofer has a polystyrene cone, a 20-ounce magnet, and a rubber surround. The speaker's low-frequency output is augmented by a 10-inch passive radiator mounted on the front panel below the woofer. The passive radiator contributes an effective output from its rated 36-hz cutoff frequency up to about 100 Hz. In previous systems in the kg line the passive radiators were located in the rear, but Klipsch engineers found that front-mounting produced better coupling with the output of the kg3's driven woofer.
At 1,800 Hz there is a crossover to a horn-loaded, ferrofluid-cooled dome tweeter, with an 18-dB-per-octave slope to the tweeter and a 12-dB-per-octave slope to the woofer. T. The cabinet measures 24-1/4 inches high, 13-7/9 inches wide, and 11-1/4 inches deep, including the removable black cloth grille, and each speaker weighs 31 lbs.

One of the best high-power transistor amps from the 70s. Many have stated that this amp is a "10 most influential" amps ever made and this one indeed did influence many designs.
All original components. Everything works. I put some contact cleaner on the volume pot to clean up the sound when adjusting volume and it's perfect now.
Condition is a 9/10 with a couple of small scratches on the front faceplate. This amp is HEAVY, so shipping will have to be calculated.

Thanks for the referral. I took the LaScalas plus quite a few other speakers I was selling out to The Pilgrimage and I sold them to another forum member at The Pilgrimage.

I just sold an RC-7 earlier this week. Brand new in the box, never used. Sat for a few years in storage. What did you spend on the one you got?

I have a Nissan Rogue with a trailer hitch. I was debating which speakers to put in the back of the Rogue vs what to put in the enclosed trailer. Knowing they will fit in the Rogue I'll plan to transport the LaScalas in the back of the Rogue because I feel they will be better protected in there.

I speak from experience with the MCM 2953 driver. Go to the website and scroll down the reviews and you'll see my review that the pair I got were WAY OFF on specs. Not even close. QUT was like .7??. (I think I made a type on the spl I measured it was nowhere close to their published specs).
At that price QC can't be extremely high. I've had 12" MCM woofer that had the same problem. Hope this helps.
Very good to know. I just bought the Parts Express kit to measure T/S values. If I get a speaker that doesn't match what's published....sending it back.
What do you think about the MOFO driver from MCM that I mentioned?

I have the rack kit for this if anyone wants to mount it in a rack. My company bought the Oppo-103 and separate rack kit a couple of years ago for a client and they decided to put it on a shelf instead of the main equipment rack and didn't need the rack mount kit.
