Rather than asking here maybe you should contact the seller rather than asking others here who probably don't know if the ad is legitimate either, if you're so concerned. They look like Version 2s. Nice!

My early Version 3s are around 55 pounds each. I doubt earlier versions are much heavier. Were they Version 1s, complete, and the cherry finish no so scratched up, I'd part with $800 for them, easily. These ones? No. Now, Version 1 CF-4s... - Alex

They're pretty scratched and missing their feet, but they're likely Version 2s. For that price and finish, were I within 300 miles of that place, I'd be all over it. Darn...

The photos are cruddy. You can only reply by phone. He says they've got sequential serial numbers, but does not provide them - and though they look nice, I can tell right away these are not Version 1s. I thought it was going in Alerts. How do I change this? And I also thought the price is a tad high, especially for the finish. Still, some revised crossovers and longer ports will give you a set of virtual Version 1s!
