  1. For example, do I want to increase the crossover to 100Hz or higher (the rest of my Klipsch speakers are set to 80Hz)? Do I increase the Decibel level of them a few Db higher than the rest? Right now I have them set to 100Hz and I increased the Db +2. I have a 5.1.2 setup if that helps. Am I doing it right?
  2. Hi guys! I just got my Klipsch RP-140SA Dolby Atmos add-on speakers. With them, I'm now running a 5.1.2 setup: Klipsch RP-260F (fronts) Klipsch RP-440C (center) Klipsch RP-240S (rear surrounds) Klipsch R-12SW (subwoofer) My only question is, which speaker connection terminal to I hook them up to on my Yamaha RX-A2050??? Is it "Front Presence Left & Right" because I don't see a dedicated Height/Atmos terminal? Please help!
  3. I have an almost-complete Klipsch setup (RP-260F and RP-440C front and the R-112SW), now I just need to get the rear surrounds for my 5.1 setup and I'm looking at the RP-240S. I have existing keyhole mounts on my walls (they are drilled into wood studs so they're very strong), can somebody confirm that you can mount the 240/250S on a single keyhole wall mount? Thanks.
  4. I think I'm leaning more and more towards a sealed SVS SB2000. I've been doing lots of reading and research... Everybody seems to agree that a small room (like mine, 12x13 bedroom) will work best with a sealed subwoofer. The only thing I am unsure of, is I keep reading the generalization that "sealed is better for music, ported better for movies and games." 95% of my HT use is for movies and games, so I don't wanna get a ported sub and feel like there's no "oomph" like at a movie theater.
  5. You guys have convinced me to get the 12" Klipsch sub instead of the 10" I hope you know you guys are sick in the head lmao... My next question is, my receiver is the Yamaha RX-A2050, which has YPAO room calibration. My question is, with a big beefy 12" subwoofer in my 12x13 bedroom, how will I "tame" the sub if I need to? My understanding is YPAO doesn't EQ the sub, so how will I dial in the sub's bass and everything to match my speakers and the room?
  6. No it won't. The sub will be in the corner, there is no occupant in the room next to the sub.
  7. I'm running this 5.1 setup in a bedroom believe it or not (12x13'). Do you think springing for the 112-SW (12" woofer) will be overkill given my room size? Keep in mind I have towers, not bookshelves. A 65" inch TV in my bedroom is insane and immersive as hell, so I just want the sound to go along with it! Do I spend the extra $100 and get the 12" woofer?
  8. I only have the towers so far (I'm getting a complete Klipsch Reference Premiere 5.1 setup, I'm just ordering the other speakers later as more funds become available), but this 2-channel stereo setup sounds absolutely AMAZING! I'm seriously so impressed. How is it possible I'm only running 2 channels but it already sounds like a movie theater in my bedroom!? The impact, the bass (I don't even have my subwoofer yet!), the clarity, the surround separation! I don't even have my center channel yet but the RP-260F's are so awesome they project the dialogue in a way that it feels like I have a phantom center. It's incredible. Question, guys. I'm ordering my RP-440C center tomorrow, and I have enough funds to order either my subwoofer (R-110SW) OR the surrounds (RP-240S) along with the center. I'll have to wait another 2 weeks until payday to order the last part of my 5.1 Klipsch RP setup, whatever that may be. So my question to you guys is, which do I order with my Center channel? Do I get the subwoofer so that I can have a 3.1 setup until my next payday, or do I get the surrounds and then order the subwoofer 2 weeks from now? Which is more important for the time being?
  9. Please guys, this is my VERY first home theater setup (never had the money to build one until now), and I already have my fronts and center and subwoofer decided (all Klipsch Reference Premiere), but I cannot decide on my rear surrounds! (It'll be a 5.1 system at the moment, I will expand later) I feel like the Klipsch RP-240S would be the best bet for surrounds because my room is small (12x13) and I read that di/bipole surrounds work best for smaller rooms. My only thing is, the RP-240S would be mounted on these wall mounts, which are about 12" from the wall corner. http://i.imgur.com/9IH3xyv.jpg http://i.imgur.com/qXBCcOC.jpg As you can see from the design of the RP-240S... http://www.klipsch.com/products/refe...eakers#rp-240s ...One side of the woofer/tweeter will be VERY close to the rear wall (and a window on one side). My question to you experts is, will this create "bad" surround sound from the sound hitting and deflecting the corner of the room? Please help me decide between the 240S or the Dolby Atmos RP-140SA, which is meant to be an upward-firing Atmos add-on, however I'd be mounting them and using them as rear surrounds instead! The reason I'd rather have the 240S is because I'm concerned the 140SA has limited frequency response and sensitivity (on the Klipsch specs page, they do not list the fr response or sensitivity for them, they simply say "Dolby Atmos Certified Specifications") Thanks!
  10. I've got my speaker setup narrowed down (Klipsch RP with twin 260F and 440C fronts, 140-SA surrounds and 110-SW subwoofer), now I just need to pull the trigger on a great AVR but I can't decide! Please give me your recommendations guys, based on what you have or what you've owned before. I do NOT care about listening to music on this thing (I like headphones for music), I'm using the receiver for pure movie and video game audio bliss. I've narrowed my choices down to: A) Yamaha Aventage RX-A2050 Denon AVR-X4200W or C) Pioneer Elite SC-95 All three cost the same. All three are upper/near-flagship models. I've heard that Yamaha receivers are more "bright" and in your face, and that you don't want to pair bright speakers (like the Klipsch) with an equally bright receiver, so that leads me to believe Denon or Pioneer would be better? Also everybody and their grandmother swears that Audyssey XT32 is miles ahead YPAO or MCACC Pro. Help me decide guys! Thanks
  11. Big speakers sound great in small rooms. The sound is more enveloping IMO. I'm no audio expert or audiophile or auditory scientist, but that's just my opinion.
  12. So are you basically saying if I use them as surrounds, I won't be hearing as much full-range surround sound vs using bookshelves as surrounds? I can't use the RP-240S on my current wall mounts, they're 3 pounds heavier than the max weight limit. I really don't know which surrounds to get!!! It's confusing.
  13. Simple question guys, I'd really appreciate confirmation/feedback! Can you use the RP-140SA as rear L&R surrounds instead of using them as Dolby Atmos front heights? In other words I just want to wall-mount the RP-140's and use them solely as the surrounds for my 5.1 setup. Will they work well that way? Or should I just stick with a pair of Klipsch bookshelf speakers (probably R-15M) as surrounds? I can't use the RP-240S because they're too heavy for my keyhole wall mounts. Which would provide a more immersive surround sound experience? Thanks.
