Talking about ceiling mounted... currently I was going to go with my surround speakers to be in-ceiling due to my couch being directly against the back wall... would it be better to go with some in-wall speakers and out on back wall behind couch?

That’s a good call! I’ll do that so I have the flexibility for the future... for some reason I was thinking I had to be all in or out! I also wasn’t sure if the room was just too “small” for a 5.1.2 set-up.. if that is possible!

I know this has pry been asked a million times, but figured I’d ask another time! Finishing my basement and my home theater space is going to be 19 feet x 11 feet, regular old rectangle room with 8 foot ceilings. I currently have all speaker for a 5.1 setup. My surround speakers are in-ceiling. Will I get a big boost if I add two more in ceiling speakers to middle of room for 5.1.2?! (Basing off of Dolby Atmos placement guide for a 5.1.2 set-up). Thanks in advance!

Hey all I am in need of a new subwoofer and I can’t decide which sub would be best? This would be for HT/music. I am leaning toward sealed and am between HSU and SVS. Willing to spend up to 1000! Does anyone have envy experience with either brand? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That's a great question. I guess I was just initially planning on building the new tv stand the same height as my old one. And with the risers on the heresy it is a bit taller. How much shorter will the heresy be without the risers?

Also I will be wanting to lay the heresy on its side as the center channel!

Hey so I will be having heresy iii as my left and right front speakers. Would I be better off getting a used Klipsch Academy or is the Heresy iii as a center channel that much better? I am planning on building a custom tv stand this summer so I will be able to accommodate the size of the Heresy!

Update: Speakers have been shipped back.

I was thinking it possibly was in transit as well. But decided that my soldering skills aren't up to the task (this would of been the first attempt of soldering) of fixing the speaker. So I will just be shipping it back.
