  1. With the horn, looks like they use a 703 horn, but the 510 is a bolt on style. Looks like i will need a different horn.
  2. I took a better look and i think the Celestion is it. Now, to find a matching horn. Pretty good bet i wont find one with mumps, but i think the 510 is the same horn without mumps.
  3. Looks like the specs match. Ever listen to one? If you were doing a home built CW 4 , is this what you would use for mid?
  4. Who makes this k-702 driver for Klipsch? Looks similar to a B&C driver in appereance.
  5. An up on surrounds. Ordered the R51M. Will how they do. Thanks
  6. Just wanted to update. I purchased a Klipsch R115 sub. Just waiting for it to arrive. I see many have had issues with this sub. I decided to roll the dice on it. What was the fix?
  7. Looks like crites 1526c 1526 and the k33e.
  8. Thanks for the insight Geoff. Then thats what i will get. Searching for pricing right now.
  9. I am looking to pick up a pair of woofers and looking at K33 with square magnet and or Crites 1526. Not sure of the difference in the 1526 and the 1526C with the cast basket. Do they sound the same?
  10. This may have been talked about here already, but i don't see it. Which woofer is best suited for a cornwall/cornscala? North Reading Engineering
  11. Yes and it seems everything is getting so out of reach as time goes. I still have the used Heresy's ( 82"s) i bought in 1985. They are now my Super Heresy's. I love them.
  12. $3000 in 1977 was alot of money. I know my dad bought a brand new 1975 Monte Carlo for about $5000.
  13. In 1985 i bought a brand new pair of Heresy for $900 out the door and a new used pair for $500 out the door. I like the old prices better.
  14. Yes, i agree. I was interested in the Tool Shed amps awhile back from all the good said about them, but when i read the specs and seen the price tag i was a bit taken back. This led me to purchasing the 12w/ch chinese amp which sounds great til you turn up the volume. The highs and mids get louder, but the bass falls quickly behind. I have a pair of CornScala's and another 25w/ch Chinese amp that does very well in this combo with JJ KT77's making this a great combo. I'm sure the TS amps are great little amps, but for me the watt to cost is too much for me. I'm looking for something more powerful while retaining good clean output. Primeluna and Ayon are way more powerful quality amps and just a few dollars more. If i'm spending $5000 on a tube amp, i'm expecting a clean thumpin badass of an amp.
  15. They are cool looking amps for sure, but what is the max wattage with these, 12w? I think for that price i would rather buy an Ayon spirit V with 75w/ch for a little more cash, but a lot more bass. I haven't listened to either, so i have to ask, do the Toolshed amps reproduce nice hefty bass. I have a 12w/ch Chinese amp and it sounds nice at low volume, but not much bass when you turn it up.
  16. I like what i read about the RSL 10s subs. Looks like i would definitely need 2. I like the Klipsch 115sw and i think i can get away using 1 of those. Still looking.
  17. Not really. Figured one would be enough for what i'm doing. The Klipsch 115 looks like a good pick, but i will check out the others listed this weekend. Thanks for the offer.
  18. Ok, ill check out the HSU as well as the others mentioned this weekend when i have more time. Thanks
  19. Thanks for the heads up on the subs. I will continue shopping.
  20. Nice work Dean. I will keep you in mind for future projects.
  21. ok, thanks for the input. Are the SVS subs any good?
  22. Nice, so how does it sound? Didn't know Dean was still building networks.
  23. I think the bass is cleaner on the JBL.
