  2. Kevin, what do you think of the Oracle origin MK2 TT. I can get one on sale right now for $2250.
  3. I looked at one from Maple Tree. $600
  4. Ok, not what i wanted to hear. I will have to budget for a preamp than. What brands do you suggest? Really dont know what to look for.
  5. The Maple Tree has 3 inputs and two outputs. The #1 input has 10db gain, 2 input has 15db gain and three input has 20db gain. Thought i might be set with this Line Preamp.
  6. Sorry for the typo. Yes, phono only. Looking at picking up a TT to get back into vinyl.
  7. Anyone have this preamp? Maple Tree Line 2A SE. I use this with my Audcom tube amp and was curious if this will work with phono. Not sure what I need for phone.
  8. Oh man, do they ever. I have never listened to any of them neither.
  9. Ok, which one of Klipsch’s shelf speaker would be the correct one? Klipsch has a few to pick from.
  10. OK, do you think the RP-600m might be a better match or not worth the expense?
  11. Ok, But would they be drowned out at easy listening levels, like say, 75db?
  12. Setting up a theater room soon. Using a Marantz NR1504 to drive everything. Since this will be a listening room as well as theater, I would like to use the Cornscala's up front. My question is, would the Black Label 120 sub and the B-200 rear surrounds be a good match to the cornscala? Room measures 15x21'. On a bit of a tight budget and these fit the budget. Thanks
  13. Those look like nice players. I checked out everything on upscale.
  14. Yes, i caught that later and took a teak at the Oracle line up, then posted the pic above. I believe the Oracle is the best out there.
  15. Here's another in my price range.
  16. Nice, which model VPI table is that?
  17. I have been reading about the jo no5 mc cartridge. Has fairly good reviews from what i have read. Upscale sells this cartridge for about 12 or 1300 bucks.
  18. Why are the specs not worth reading? Would it be because the measures are not audible to the human ear anyway? Kevin on here has agree'd to set up a TT for me if i wish.
  19. Well, number one, i look at the beauty of the player. It has to look good to be on my audio shelf. Two, the specs. It has to be a great audio player. Three is the price. Being i am just getting into albums again. I don't want to be disappointed with the audio compared to my Marantz 8005 cd player and as a result the money i wasted. So, i'm looking at less than $2500.00 for now, but not etched in stone as i like the EAT C sharp at about $5100 with a jo no5 mc cartridge. I like the API's too, but that is really stretching my budget. I like this API, but its way over my budget and i wonder how much better it could be at over twice the price of the EAT player. I doubt it would give twice the performance. The specs are very close.
