  3. Happy with my Yamamoto A-08S
  4. @seti learn something new, or maybe it’s remembering something once again! Somewhere in the back of my mind I believe I had heard of the rare Klipsch cartridge or ran across it, vinyl engine? Seriously though. First I’ve seen on the SUT. Thanks for sharing. Wonder what transformers are used? I’d love to find the MZC-7. The 2 has bass in spades. Everyone has different tastes with turntable cartridge’s. The Pickering XLZ-7500 may have the edge in upper frequencies, but not bass slam. Had a visit from a friend yesterday, sold audio as a career before retirement. The store sold Klipsch. He told me he had 2 that he could remember, the MZC-7. One he had sold to his BIL. The other one on that auction site.
  5. Woke? millennial? There’s the fake news. Being the Klipsch fanatic I’ve become, there’s some competition among. Just acquired the vintage Altec , foreground in the pic. And Jubilee. Yes awesome. For high power SS, DSP and the complexity. I’m about KISS. MC75’s, 30’s and plenty vintage smaller wattage tube amps. Fisher, HH Scott. I can make do with high efficiency Heritage, Epic & Legend. A Yamamoto A-08S 45 SET 2 watt & CF4 blows some minds. It’s the first watt that counts.
  6. Yes, thanks for correcting my second blurb @jjptkdKV-4
  7. Correction the beloved center is the hard to track down CV-4

  9. Picked up a rather sweet Thorens TD-125. SME 3009 MKIII arm, vintage AT 6006 safety raiser. And an added nice surprise. Mounted on the headshell is a Klipsch MCZ-2. Nail must still be sharp, because it tracks like a dream. Right under a gram 3/4. With (Redboy) Nate’s Altec 4722 SUT. I’m highly impressed.
  10. No affiliation. Look to be good shape too!https://www.ebay.com/itm/334370042317?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=WFl17iZwToe&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=HuHOjyOXR3u&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=MORE
  11. DIY driver board? Are is it commercially available?
  12. Not sure if the red rocker Sammy Hagar still has the female Native American bassist while on the subject. Bass players shouldn’t use picks though. Also Joann Shaw Taylor can sling a six string guitar as well. Just wish her sound engineer could cut back on the db levels somewhere in the mix. Always a bit too “hot” resulting in audible distortion.
  13. Hung on to those!
  14. Rather than spend more $$ me thinks will go the horizontal route for the rears. Problem solved. Thanks for the input @billybob Jimmy
  15. @billybob what if I horizontal wall shelved the 3.2’s ? Also already have the heavy duty brackets and 16” shelving wood. Could do the Heresy’s up higher as well. When I built the home I put speaker drop wall plates in.
  16. I think there is a pair of 1.2 on Marketplace in Houston. Not the price gouging “Cypress” one.
  17. @billybob are they the smallest kg? And the Heresy’s
  18. The rear space I have to work with.
  19. From other thread reads while I haven’t spent a lot of time on, my question. Seems a topic talked about quite a bit. Try to use matching series in a HT system. Myself, have never been into HT much. Just about anything would suit me fine in that aspect. Mainly I’m a 2 channel Klipsch hoarder. Along with being a tube fanatic. However ….. My last two (same day, different sellers) acquisitions were kg3.2 pair, kg2.2U single, SW-8 and Velodyne CT80. Second seller, picked up the KLFC7 black. I don’t think I will comment on the center other than the fact I didn’t look it over closely during the transaction. Rain and “ Klipsch talk” had me scurrying about, plus the second planned buy was still a good driving distance. The KLFC7 was picked up first. I will only mention “Cypress Tx.” as a hint. I will upload a photo of the simple repair I made to correct the screw-up or rather lack of. Also just recently picked up a pair of sequential #’d Heresy in fairly nice condition. Which leads me to this post. I plan on using my trusty old Denon AVR-889, KLFC7 center, Heresy for front surrounds, kg3.2 rear surrounds and the Velodyne + SW-8 subs if room permits. I’ve taken measurements and think I can squeeze both in the cabinet. My major concerns are, the Heresy’s will have to be placed on top of the Belles and the kg3.2 are too large for wall mounts, as I have now. Thinking if I had a smaller pair kg’s, would fit the bill. Even if I installed wall brackets and shelves the 3.2’s are still too large. So now I suppose I’ll be on the hunt for kg1, smaller footprint as I’d rather use the existing mounts. Any other options? All Klipsch please. And I always try to pick up used as I’m a tight assed sob. Lastly, the clutter on the left still has to be cleared!!
  20. Now this I’d like to sit in one of those chairs!
  21. In and all around way the Belle’s just have more of “it” with an MC30 on each. Your CF3’s being extreme outward are in the mix providing some mids, mid bass and a certain different bass kick, faster attack, but maybe not quite as deep fills as the K33’s. MC 75’s drive the CF3’s. This is my “turn it up to concert levels” system. When I pop in a live concert DVD. I’ve had visitors tell me ‘it’s like you are actually there’. I also love the Thorens through the C20 phono stage as well. I have my best cartridge, Pickering XZL-7500 with a Redboy (Nate) Altec/Peerless SUT stepping up the signal. One other thing to consider, the Belle’s aren’t so directional, such wide dispersion, dig deep. I should toe in the right CF just a tad more. Hope this helps @avguytx
  22. MC 30’s and 75’s, thanks fellas. CF3’s in the mix also.
