    Pulled a Sherwood S3000III from a pile of accumulated gear. Needed nothing but the on off switch worked back and forth to get it powered up. The thing sounded real good. Then lost a bid for the matching multiplex unit. So I guess I will put it back into the 3rd system. Good old mono. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk

    Couldn't stand the thought of an non working Klipsch speaker. Even first thing in am. Discovered it yesterday after install 1969 vintage NOS Sure M91E fresh out of the plastic tube. Put on my Pioneer PL-560. Good news is, it was a bad connection at a cheezy big box store banana jack. Enjoying some Blue Oyster Cult..... finishing my coffee before work.     Haven't had time to check anything other than. Other 3 speakers working. Dynaco ST70 wires still intact at amp. Wires look good at speaker banana jack. Just hoping for a bad banana jack connection. Not a crossover disaster. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk

    How did it sound to you? I just had a bad experience with a hybrid preamplifier. Two 6299 tubes no tone controls and made any horn unlistenable. Harsh. Now my McIntosh C20 is so flexible, no problem. I'm just wanting a better preamp that the stock PAS 2, for my ST-70. Which don't want to dump a lot of money into. And bypassing the tone controls is not one of the mods I would do. Anyway at the price you have on the pre. I better get it before someone else. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

    So that is what my CF3'S were running on. I gave them a quick listen with a Prima Luna Prologue 5 and a horrible hybrid tube preamplifier. A Melos MA-110 B. No tone controls. Nothing but harsh midrange. Don't like 6922 EH tubes one bit. Then tried the same amp with a Adcom GFP-555, ss preamp and all I can say is WOW.....love my new CF's. I am now on the hunt for a good all tube preamp with tone controls. It's a must have for me. Spoiled with the McIntosh C20. All is good avtxguy. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
